Wonk Unit // Portsmouth Punk Fest

From the start, the singer Alex thanked us for being patient as he had his daughter on stage who end up making some friends for the show! Alex's voice faltered for a few songs, prompting other bands to join in with lyrics they knew, culminating in an impromptu karaoke-style finale to the festival. There was also some keepy-ups, the most unpredictable set I've seen in a while!

I really loved photographing this fest and the sense of community spirit that came together for 's first Punk Fest. Honestly cannot wait til next years!

Let me take a moment to share some of my favourite bands! Ones that have left a real impression on me over the few years I've been doing this. I know I say that every band is lovely, but honestly it's true!

I value every single band I work with for various reasons and the people in the scene make it so much more than just the music. A lot of the bands here are small/DIY bands and without them the scene wouldn't be half of what it is
