Weeks of preparation paid off last night on the seafront of the little town of Selsey, on the south coast of England. 🌙📸

With cloudy weather forecast across much of the UK, I really wasn’t sure what I was going to get. But at 2:30am, I jumped into the car equipped with a long lens, a pot of coffee and plenty of patience.

When I arrived, checked the conditions and realised I had a pretty clear view all the way through to the peak of the eclipse, I couldn’t quite believe my luck.

Photographing the lunar eclipse was another incredible experience, and after getting home around 6am, this is the first quick image I wanted to share with you.

More to come soon. 🌘

What an incredible experience. 🌒✨

My timelapse composite of the 2026 solar eclipse, captured above Halnaker Windmill in West Sussex, just a few miles from home.

Over roughly two hours I photographed the different phases of the eclipse as the Sun moved across the sky, then combined them into this final image in post processing.

And just to be clear, no generative AI was used anywhere in this photograph. Every element was captured with my camera on the day.

Definitely one of those photography moments I’ll remember for a very long time. ❤️📷

There are moments when the light, landscape and action come together perfectly.

Watching the Camargue Gardians gallop towards us through the rising dust, illuminated by the warm morning sun, was one of the highlights of our Ultimate South of France Photography Workshop.

It was a beautiful experience to witness and an incredible opportunity to photograph the traditions and atmosphere of this unique region.

Would you love to capture moments like this with us? Come and join us on one of our future photography adventures. 📷🐎✨

Every so often, the light, the moment, the gear, and a little bit of luck all come together. This was one of those moments in the Camargue, one of my favourite photography places in the world. Three white horses, golden light, and water drops flying everywhere.

Every now and then, photography rewards you with one of those magical moments where everything simply works. The right gear, beautiful light, ideal conditions, and that little bit of luck that turns a lovely scene into a memorable image.

This photo of a Camargue Guardian was captured in one of my favourite photography places in the world. Camargue has a wild beauty that is hard to describe until you experience it for yourself.

Our South of France workshop is sold out this year, which we are so grateful for, but next year’s workshop is now open. So if you would love to photograph Camargue, Provence, wild horses, flamingos, and some truly beautiful light, keep an eye on it.

Just 2 more nights before I travel back to Marseille to run another exciting photography workshop in the South of France. 🇫🇷📸

The Camargue horses are always one of the most magical parts of this adventure. Power, movement, water, golden light, and that feeling that you are witnessing something truly special.

I cannot wait to meet our group, explore Provence together, chase beautiful light, and create memories like this again.

South of France, here we come. 🌿✨

There is something truly special about this part of the South of France. The landscapes feel wild, timeless, and full of stories. Every moment seems to carry a little bit of magic, especially when the evening light begins to glow across the marshes.

In just one week, we will be back here with our photography workshop group, capturing scenes like this in the heart of Provence and the Camargue. Lavender fields, old villages, wild horses, bulls, flamingos, and those unforgettable golden hour moments.

I honestly cannot wait.

Valensole never stops surprising me.

Many of the old lavender locations are slowly changing or disappearing, but that also opens the door to new places, new compositions, and fresh views waiting to be discovered.

This is one of those spots.

Beautiful rows, soft evening light, dramatic sky, and that quiet Provence feeling I love so much.

I cannot wait to share locations like this with our photography students in less than two weeks. The South of France adventure is getting very close now. 🌿📸
