Join me on one of the most beautiful walks in the North York Moors! This circular route starts at Gribdale Gate and takes in the iconic summit of Roseberry Topping before heading into the stunning Newton Woods to catch the spring bluebells in full bloom.
We also explore the unique landscape of Cliff Rigg Quarry, trek through Ayton Banks Wood, and finish at the historic Captain Cook’s Monument on Easby Moor.
📍 Route Summary:
Start/Finish: Gribdale Gate Car Park (TS9 6HN)
Distance: Approx. 8.2 km
Highlights: Roseberry Topping, Bluebells in Newton Wood, Cliff Rigg Quarry, Ayton Banks Wood, Captain Cook’s Monument.
Difficulty: Moderate (Steep climbs at Roseberry and Ayton Banks).
