Party on a boat 🚢

I'll always say yes to something different and a party on a boat was a highlight of last year!

I love how this couple celebrated their marriage in their own way: non-trad, boat trip and pub party in the beautiful city of York. Big vibes.

Blue skies and crisp air ❄️🌞

Another low-key, no-stress, all-love intimate ceremony. I enjoyed this one for a number of reasons: lovely people, great (but cold!!) weather, and an element of surprise! Plus it was in my hometown. We made use of my local park, Astley Park, and had fun getting some winter sun shots.

This day was super special for these guys and it was super special for me to be a part.

Biggest congrats goes to these two - wishing you both the very best xx

A morning in the park 🌳

The best family sessions aren't really "sessions" at all. They are just a morning where I happen to bring a camera along.

I had the best seat in the house watching these guys explore, throw leaves, and just exist together. No stiff posing, no "cheese," just a lot of running around and letting the kids lead the way.

This is how memories actually look. 🍂✨

Small scale, high impact. 💚✨

There is a specific kind of energy at an intimate wedding that you just don't get with 150 guests. It’s quieter, more intentional, and focuses entirely on the few people who matter most.

We spent part of the afternoon wandering through the town, dodging the winter chill, and leaning into the warmth of a proper family celebration. From the ceremony under the exposed beams to the candlelit dinner, every part of this day felt like a genuine reflection of these guys.

No performative traditions, no frantic schedules - just a beautiful day spent with lovely people. This is exactly how an intimate wedding should be.

It was a pleasure to be the one to document it. 🥂

Manchester, but make it cinematic. 🐝🏙️

There is something about the city centre that just hits different. No manicured gardens or rolling hills - just red brick, railway arches, and the kind of light you only get when it bounces off industrial steel and street art.

This wedding was a masterclass in staying authentic. We spent the afternoon dodging traffic and leaning into the textures of the city.

I’m not here to manufacture a moment that didn't happen. I’m here to capture the way you laugh, the way the city feels at dusk, and the energy of a ceremony that feels more like a movie than a formal service.

The full family tree, out in the wild. 🌳

There’s a specific kind of magic (and a healthy dose of chaos) that happens when you get every generation into one frame. No stiff studio backdrops or "everyone look at the camera and count to three" energy - just a morning spent exploring the coast together.

We spent this session climbing rocks, chasing the wind, and leaning into the messiness of a big family outing. It wasn’t about getting a "perfect" portrait; it was about marking a celebration by actually enjoying each other's company.

If you’re waiting for the "perfect" time when everyone is the right age or the weather is guaranteed to be 20°C, you’ll be waiting forever. The best way to mark an occasion is to just show up, let the kids run wild, and capture the family exactly as you are right now.
Worth every bit of the wind-chill. 🌊✨

Short & Sweet ⏳

A common misconception about couples' portraits is that they need to be a long, drawn-out ordeal. In reality? Some of my favorite shots happen in a frantic 15-minute window where we’re just trying to keep the veil from flying away.

This session was freezing, incredibly windy, and total chaos in the best way possible. We ran around, had a proper laugh, and then immediately retreated to a cafe to thaw out with coffee.

Portraits should feel like a quick break in the day to hang out, not a chore. If you’re having fun, it shows...even if you can’t feel your toes. ☕️✨

☔ Wet, yet wonderful

Nothing could dampen the spirits at Amy & Jamie's Lakeland wedding. These guys put such effort into all the details and embraced the rain in the best way. The day reflected them so well and was a joy to be at. I'm glad to say there was no ISSUE ISSUE! (IYKYK) 👀

Fairbank is a legit fantastic venue - the staff were amazing and the buildings are beautiful. Not to mention the STUNNING surroundings. I'll most definitely be recommending here in future.

💐 Bridal Prep to Beer Pong 🍺

Charl & Charlotte's wedding was a true example of the duality of weddings. Beautiful, calm, and full of love in the day...Chaos, fun, and full of laughter in the evening. This was a real stand out evening for me (not just because I got to play beer pong 😅).

I love being involved in weddings. From pre-wedding advice to bouncing across the dancefloor snapping sunglassed breakdancers 🕶️ It's my absolute fav.

💐 Wedding Garden Party

Set in a beautiful village near Cambridge, the sun was out for S&D’s wedding celebration party. The effort these guys put in to their afternoon garden party was unreal. They had marquees, Thai food, local beers on tap, games, and an incredible array of homemade cakes.

I spent the afternoon flitting around soaking in the vibes, capturing a candid record of the day. It was truly beautiful - a perfect way to celebrate the civil partnership of two lovely people.

I made the most of the weekend ‘down south’. Me and El found a campsite nearby, wandered around the town of Ely (for the 2nd/3rd time this year) and wakeboarded at a local wake park.

10/10 event. 10/10 weekend.

Mr & Mrs 💚

Just over a week ago, I had the experience of my own wedding after attending so many of yours. It was truly the most wonderful weekend of our lives, filled with so much fun and joy.

Having been on the other side to usual, I have definitely picked up a few small tips to take forward in my wedding shoots. And it has confirmed, first hand, why I want to be the type of photographer I am - lifestyle / natural photography, capturing a free flowing version of events with prompting over posing.

I feel super privileged to have such a wonderful wife and family and look forward to my own next chapter, as well as Tin Squid's!
