"There's something I'm looking for during your family session that you probably aren't.
The little hand automatically reaching for yours.
The way your toddler still fits perfectly against your chest.
Your child's face when Dad makes them laugh.
The way siblings interact when they've forgotten I'm taking photographs.
Tiny things.
Things that happen so often at home that you barely notice them anymore.
But that's exactly why I photograph them.
Because ordinary has a funny habit of becoming important once it isn't ordinary anymore."

You might book a family session because you want that one beautiful photograph of everyone looking at the camera.
And I will absolutely try to get it.
But I have a feeling it won't be your favourite.
It'll be the one where your little one is looking up at you.
The one where everyone's laughing because something went completely wrong.
Or the photograph where you're not looking at the camera at all — you're looking at them.
Those are the photographs that tend to mean more with time.
