A very special HAPPY 40TH BIRTHDAY to this wonderful lady! 🥂📸🤎

If you’ve followed my page for a while, you’ll probably recognise Claire, the incredibly talented photographer behind BARE Photo and the lovely face who often joins me as my second photographer on wedding days. 🥰

Over the years we’ve photographed so many beautiful moments together, from morning preparations and emotional ceremonies to golden hours and crazy dance floors. Having someone beside me who I completely trust makes such a difference, and I’m incredibly lucky to have Claire as a part of Dion Denmark Photography. 📸✨

But beyond photography, I’m even luckier to call her one of my closest friends. She’s supported me, encouraged me and, when my accident unexpectedly took me out of action this summer, stepped in when I needed her most. That’s something I’ll always be incredibly grateful for. 🤎

So today, the camera is turned on YOU for once!

Wedding mornings aren’t just about bridal prep! While the groom is getting suited and booted, there are so many little moments happening around him that deserve to be captured too. 📸

The groom fastening his waistcoat, Dad sorting his tie, another final check in the mirror, all those little details before everyone heads off to watch two people say I do. 🥹

I love photographing groom prep because it tells another side of the wedding morning, usually a little less chaotic than the girls 😂 but just as important.

And there’s something so timeless about a man in a tux, isn’t there?! 🖤

One wedding. One venue. Two photographers. Two completely different sides of the morning 📸

Amber & Zak’s gorgeous June wedding at Fennes is the perfect example of why having a second photographer can be such a bonus.

While one photographer is capturing the dress, shoes, flowers and all the excitement happening with the bride, the other can be with the groom capturing the details, the nerves, the drinks and everything happening on his side too.

It means more photographs, more little moments, more details and two different perspectives of the same day & later on, we can be in two places at once, capture different angles and each bring our own interpretation to a moment. ✨

I was second shooting this one for Claire, and because Amber is also a friend of mine, it was such a lovely relaxed wedding for me to photograph… with the added bonus that I could put the camera down occasionally and actually enjoy myself too 💃🏻🥂😂

A little reintroduction because it’s been a while 🤎📸

Hi, I’m Dion, the face behind Dion Denmark Photography 👋🏼

I’m a wedding photographer, a hopeless romantic, and a big believer that your wedding photos should actually feel like your wedding day.

My style is natural, relaxed and candid. I’m much more interested in the belly laughs, happy tears, wonky veils, drunken dancing and all those little moments happening in between than having you stand posing for hours.

Although… give me confetti, a golden hour sunset and a packed dancefloor and I am VERY happy 😂🥳

It’s been a little quieter around here this year. Alongside photography I’ve been studying to become a Dispensing Optician, so life has been a bit of a juggling act between work, studying, exams, weddings and everything else life likes to throw at you.

And then life quite literally knocked me off my feet… 🩼😂

After breaking my leg and having surgery, I’ve unexpectedly found myself with a LOT more time at home and, consequently, a lot more time with my IPad.

So I’m finally giving this page some much-needed love again. 🤎

There are so many gorgeous weddings, photographs and moments sitting in my galleries that I’ve never shared, so expect lots more from me. If there’s anything in particular you’d like to see, let me know

If you choose me to photograph your wedding, expect someone who wants you to enjoy your day rather than spend it taking photos. I’ll be there capturing the big moments, the little moments you didn’t even realise were happening, and everything in between.
