“It’s the little things that mean an awful lot…”
And when you’re choosing someone to photograph your brand new baby, I think the little things really do matter.
Things like…
15 years of experience photographing newborns and families, and knowing that no two babies are ever quite the same.
Investing in specialist newborn photography and posing training over the years, so I know how to safely handle and pose your baby. Their comfort and safety will always come first.
Having my own warm, private home studio here in Suffolk, with a huge collection of beautiful blankets, wraps, tiny outfits, props and backgrounds, so you don’t need to bring very much at all.
Being DBS checked and having years of experience working with babies and children.
Knowing when your baby needs feeding, changing or cuddling, and when it’s time to forget the pose I had planned and try something else. We work around them, not the other way around.
Helping Mum, Dad and siblings feel comfortable too, with gentle direction so you never need to worry about what to do in front of the camera.
And spending 15 years developing my craft, becoming a Master Photographer with The Portrait Masters and winning awards for my portrait photography.
But perhaps the most important little things are the ones I’m actually there to capture…
Tiny fingers. Tiny toes. Wispy hair. The way they curl up against you.
Because they’re only this little for such a little while.
And one day, that photograph hanging on your wall will mean an awful lot. 🤍
