I left my 9-5 to do this.

To spend my weekends (and lots of weekdays too) capturing some of the most important days in people’s lives and it’s the BEST JOB EVER!!

When I started The Social Wedding, wedding content creation was unheard of in the UK. Now, I have the privilege of travelling, working alongside incredible wedding suppliers and helping couples relive their wedding day with high-quality authentic content.

It’s not always glamorous though! There are early starts, long drives, a lot of late-night edits and countless hours behind the scenes that nobody sees. But every time I receive a message from a couple saying they’ve watched their content over and over again I’m reminded exactly why I took the leap.

I was invited to the official launch of the 2026 Pinterest Wedding Trends Report in London last night and honestly this isn’t just about trends it’s about a cultural shift within the wedding industry.

Couples are no longer planning weddings to impress they’re creating experiences that reflect who they actually are with personality and feeling. From documentary-style engagement shoots to unexpected venues, nostalgic tech and statement bridal fashion weddings are becoming more immersive, more intentional, and more emotionally driven than ever before.

And this is exactly why what I do matters as a wedding content creator you want to remember how your wedding day truly felt.

2026 and 2027 weddings are going to be unreal and I’m so here for it 😍

When two people who build everyone else’s brands finally get in front of the camera for their own…and forget how to act 🤣

We walked into the studio with a content plan, strategy, hooks, sales angles and somehow left with 90% chaos and 10% usable footage.

But when you spend all day showing up for other people’s businesses it’s so much harder to show up for your own. The pressure just feels different.

And suddenly the people who make it look effortless for other businesses overthink everything.

But maybe this is the reminder we both needed that it doesn’t always have to be polished to work and sometimes the messy, unplanned, laughing-in-between takes content IS the content.

I cant believe it’s been nearly a year since The Social Wedding won at the 🙌🏻

It’s was honestly the BEST night and loved being in the room with so many other incredible wedding suppliers and creatives.
