What a week! Packed couple of days at RHS Wentworth Woodhouse and then a feature in of nursery in Witherslack, Cumbria. This is an absolute gem of a nursery run by a horticultural couple who are passionate and knowledgeable about plants. You can read all about the nursery in the August edition out now. Winner of Young Designer of the Year, Best Construction, People’s Choice and Gold Award. It was a delight to capture this garden for Luke, a garden viewed from all sides, your eye travelling from one delight to another amid the sound of running water and buzz of pollinators in the generous planting.

Drakkar’s Drift channels the raw beauty of Fingal’s Cave and Scotland’s Norse roots. A floating boardwalk leads to a sauna and plunge pool, surrounded by rocky cascades and firelit gathering, Luke has designed a retreat shaped by heritage, wellness, and wild landscapes.

I spent Wednesday at RHS Wentworth capturing images for the Young Designers.
Each one different but excellently conceived, designed and created. It never ceases to amaze me how beautifully the Young designer crafts a brief to share a moment in time, a location and the story of the inspiration.
I captured this arial image of the garden created by Jacapo Ducati Ruggeri to transport you to a section of a dune garden, a quiet sanctuary shaped by Fire Island’s wild beauty and q***r legacy. A path of sand, an outdoor shower, a bench in the lee of a dune — simple rituals of presence. What begins as utility area becomes habitat over time, orchids emerge, willow creeps, burnet rose claims the slope.

'La Vieille Charité ' in Marseille is nestled in the heart of the 'Panier' suburb, the historic core of the city. The 17th century architecture, the 'Vieille Charité' museum, both symbolizes the wealth of Marseille's heritage and provides the city with a cultural center. Since 1986, the 'Vieille Charité' has been restored and has become a multidisciplinary center of science and culture for the city of Marseille.
It was a peaceful January morning when we visited as part of our the warm hues, soft winter light and silence was enchanting.
