If I don't have some kind of feeling for what I'm shooting, how can I expect the person who looks at it to feel anything?" - Don McCullin

Photography is something that is not only very personal to people but something that we all have an interest in. Images that are there to sell you, products, ideas and values. Being a photography then puts you in a very interesting position. You have the pleasu

re of witnessing and trying to represent a moment being shared by an individual/group through the eye of a glass lens. This honour leaves with a couple of conclusions;

1. I am not the best photographer in the world. Photography is so subjective that I concede that I may be someones favourite photographer, but the best? definitely not!

2. My role, especially at weddings, is to be a catalyst, not a component. What does this mean? Well apart from, its the only terms that I actually remember from chemistry class, I feel that when I am given the honour of being a couples wedding photographer, its a job I don't take lightly. However, IT IS NOT MY DAY. I am not there to order people around and take control of every situation, my role is to be present in the situations that give me the best possibility to photography the moments of the day. I personally feel that 90% of the time, this can be done without making a fuss and hopefully not even be noticed! If you are interested in having me at your wedding, family event, company staff photos, then please don't be shy. I promise not to sell you my photography, if you find someone else who is better suited to your needs then I will encourage you to do there! Look forward to hearing from you!

Last weekend I had the privilege of heading down to the Carlow Regatta to watch our youngest, Ollie, row for his school. He had two races and came away with a win in one of them.

As parents, we’ve always tried to reinforce to the boys that giving 100% is the minimum standard. Results are secondary. You can’t always control the outcome, but you can control the effort.

That said, seeing Ollie standing with a medal around his neck alongside his crew mates was a very special moment.

Boxing might be an individual sport, but nobody gets through fight week alone.

I’ve said it plenty of times, being away from Julie and the boys isn’t easy. Over the next few weeks the travel ramps up again, but working alongside good people makes those days a lot easier.

On fight night there were mixed results for our fighters. It’s tough watching someone who has invested so much time and effort come up short, but that’s the cruelty and the beauty of sport. The highs mean more because the lows are real.

Grateful to be part of the journey, and grateful for the people who make the time away from home a little easier.

It’s been great fun working with the creative team at over the last year or so. They first reached out as they were building towards launching the new kits for the season, and it’s been brilliant getting to spend time with some of the sport’s top athletes along the way.

Really looking forward to a few more projects together over the coming months. Balancing the schedule and the tight turnaround windows hasn’t always been easy, but it’s also pushed me to trust other photographers to step in and deliver when I’m away.

Big thanks to and for helping make that possible.

Not quite a photo agency yet… but give it time.

Sometimes, even in the middle of the madness of a shoot, you have to stop and take it in.

During fight week for Deontay Wilder vs Derek Chisora, Derek decided a tank was the best way to travel across London. As it rolled over Tower Bridge holding up rush hour traffic, I had one of those moments where I just stopped and smiled to myself.

Never in my life did I think I’d be standing photographing something like that.

Manchester today with & as the promo run for their fight on keeps building ahead of June 13th.

BBC, LadBible and plenty of chaos in between.

Great day all round, minus the moment Eddie & Tommy dared me into trying jellied eels for the first time. I won’t having them again but if I’m honest… they actually weren’t that bad.

We followed Eddie Hall - former World’s Strongest Man - through a full day of prep ahead of his fight with on 13th June in Manchester. Gym session, physio, pool, recovery, family time, even feeding [and catching] his goats.

Eddie doesn’t do things by half measures!

We’re so grateful he opened up and gave us a behind-the-scenes glimpse into a day in his life.

Finally getting round to sharing a few frames from March for what turned out to be Michael Conlan’s final fight week.

Media Day

There was something special about seeing a fighter of Michael’s level headline in Belfast. It’s my home city too, so getting to show the city off to so many of the staff and people I’m normally travelling around the world with made the week feel that bit more personal.

Boxing can be brutal though. A week that carried so much pride and emotion also ended in huge disappointment for Michael.

Grateful to have documented a small part of it all.

Some brilliant experiences over the past few weeks, from meeting Irish players and seeing behind the scenes of the live TV broadcast, to spending time at the IRFU High Performance Centre.

I’m terrible for forgetting to post photos at the time, so over the next while I’ll probably be catching up on a few from the last couple of months.

Mad to think it’s already been over a month since we visited with and ahead of the Brawl at The O2.
