Each time I've visited Colliford Lake up on Bodmin, the weather hasn't played fair π₯Ά it is exposed, vast and pretty hostile, but I guess the Scots would find that hilarious!
You can find some amazing crystals hidden about the shoreline π I've a fair collection! Be sure to take a backpack, or end up like me with overstuffed coat pockets π
It's a fair old walk, if you're planning on trying to do the circumference, really you can't! The pathway vanishes up at the furthest reaches, so you'll end up as I did, stumbling through knee deep evil bog juice to avoid free grazing cattle who were very interested in the dog π¬. Bad (none!) planning on my part π³.
On a clear day, you can see Brown W***y, β°οΈ the highest point in Cornwall, the summit being 1,378 feet above sea level...again, the Scots would find this laughable π€£
Watch out for the sheep, herd of wild ponies, and aforementioned cattle, they own the place! Be sure to keep doggies under close control, especially at this time of year when they're lambing π
