While collodion is only sensitive to UV a metered EV is useful to determine the overall change in lighting as the day progresses. A test plate is created to check exposure (5 stops). Images; glass plate developed (15s) and in water bath - image is negative at this stage (white tray); plates in water bath (red tray); test plate.

My standard 4x5 lens arrived from Japan....Fujinon 150mm f5.6. ( roughly equivalent to 50mm f1.6 in 35mm) Will be used to produce smaller glass plates. Just waiting now for the Camera!
