Good morning from Scotland 🏴 🥰 There’s something about the rooftops in Scotland that I’ve never been able to put into words.
Maybe it’s the weathered slate. The chimney pots standing against the sky. The way the roofs seem to tumble down hillsides towards the sea. Or perhaps it’s simply knowing that beneath every one of them is (or was) a story?
Homes that have stood for centuries. Families who have come and gone.
I think that’s why I’m always drawn to photographing them. They’re not the main attraction, but somehow they tell you just as much about a place as its castles, mountains or lochs ever could.
Oh and can you spot the Isle of May in the background?! 🏝️
