Today I visited Cranleigh Camera Clubs ‘Our View’ exhibition at the Arts Centre in Cranleigh.

The diversity of the photographs exhibited is amazing with subjects covering travel to nature and some fascinating images covering the rebuilding of the former village hospital.

Definitely, worth a visit!

Cranleigh Camera Club meets every Thursday with an interesting programme covering different aspects of photography and internal competitions.

Cranleigh Camera Club members final summer challenges were to produce, firstly, a colour or mono image and invert it. This was new to some of us and we found that some images worked much better than others, The second and final challenge was to produce at least two images taken through patterned glass, not just though a window. This was equally challenging, but some good images were produced.
We meet again for the first of our weekly meetings on Thursday 24th September when we will have a display of images taken during our summer break. Do come along and join us. You can find all details of our club and the programme for the coming year on our website: www.cranleighcameraclub.org.uk

Not long now to our Exhibition at Cranleigh Arts Centre. Do pop along and have a look.

We might be on our summer break, but several of us are still meeting up every few weeks, via Zoom, to show the results of challenges set for us by one of our members. So far we have been challenged to find a wall,
or exterior surface with a weathered surface and photograph it as an abstract image. A second challenge was to take five photographs from a spot where a small stone lands. This week’s challenge was to produce a triptych using three different plants and/or a triptych using one subject in three different ways.

28 May Our thanks to Steve Kingswell ARPS AFIAP for judging the club’s 2025-26 Best print and PDI competition. The overall winning entry in this year’s competition and best print was Breaking the rules by Pete Baldrey. Ron Boon’s Kingfisher in flight took first place for the PDIs and Falling tulip by Angela Karney was judged the best mono print.

Cranleigh Camera Club are looking forward to tomorrow's entertaining and interesting evening presented by Pete Baldrey a long standing member and outstanding photographer.

Non members are very welcome, so come along and learn some of Pete's techniques to achieve amazing images.

There is no charge for the evening although a small donation to the clubs funds will be very much appreciated.
