I'm so extremely thrilled to be a part of the Cymru Catalunya association exhibition, "Three Photographers, Three Visions of Wales", which starts tonight. Unfortunately, due to health reasons, I'm not currently able to fly and as such will not be able to attend in person. The picture updates I've been getting look great and I'm sure it'll be a great success. Good luck to everyone involved in the exhibition, especially the two other photographers, Taliesin Coombes and Glyn Owen (check their amazing work out!).

A random and rather lovely trip to St. Davids led to a visit to the lifeboat station at blue hour. A little treasure that I didn't even know existed until this afternoon. Later that night, I watched a lifeboat rescure on a TV show from this very station...I do love a coincidence 😊

If you keep an eye out to the North, you might be lucky to see glimpse of the Northern Lights, from here in Wales! With the rare mix of favourable weather conditions and some significant solar activity, I was blown away that I was able to see the Northern Lights from Paxtons Tower back in November. Whilst it's not quite the dancing lights you might have seen in images from Iceland and the like, it's still pretty staggering to be able to see the pink and green glow of aurora borealis over the Towy Valley 🤯😍🌌

A familiar view 🌅

This is the stunning view we had whilst on holiday in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. This was the second time we’ve been lucky enough to stay at Lochend Chalets and with views like this it’s no wonder we returned. As the nights draw in, I’m sat here reminiscing of these beautiful summer evenings 😍

Perseid Meteor Shower at Pentre Ifan

We had such an amazing showing this year and we were suprer lucky to have the clear skies to see it 😍. It's amazing to think that this is probably only about 20% of the meteors we saw that night and I missed on MASSIVE one just out of frame by millimeters. I've taken a base image here and overlayed the best of the meteors I captured to give a sense of how busy the night was. I've said it before, but such an amazing spot for some star gazing 👀✨, and the milkyway was stunning 🌌

It's really important to me when I photograph some of our beautiful locations that I do so respectfully, and ensure I do all I can to keep it beautiful and accessible for us all and the local wildlife in the future ✌️. As of the 25th September, the Blue Lagoon is off limits ⛔️ to allow for a critical breeding period for seals 🦭❤️. It saddens me to see news recently of people who didn't follow guidlines and just plain common sense, resulting in a seal pup being fatally abandoned by it's mother. Whilst it's tempting to go and see these amazing creatures for yourself, please ensure you follow guidlines and leave them well alone at this time so we can all enjoy them thriving later 🥰

In the meantime, here is a pic of the Blue Lagoon taken a few weeks ago under the stars 🌌 to remind us what we have to look forward to when it's accessible again from the 5th November 💙

🌕Harvest Moon at Burry Port 🌕

The moon is usually my enemy, in photography terms, but I'm alway struck at how beautiful a full moon is. I've been thinking about getting out and taking more moon shots for too long, so last night I had a plesant few hours at Burry Port with this shot in mind. It's the first moon aloignment shot I've done, and all things considered I'm pretty happy with it, though I think there is much still to learn and improve on (always learning 🎓)...so until next full moon, here is the fruit of my labour last night!

As always, was great to spend the time with Mathew Brown Photography again...but at a more sociable hour 😂

The evening before travelling up to Scotland was near the peak of the Perseid meteor shower. I spent a truly amazing night at Pentre Ifan where we had an amazing showing of the meteor shower and I’ve been lucky enough to capture many of them on camera (more to follow). This is pretty much the first one I caught early in the evening (you can still see the last of the dawn light just behind the rock formation). Couldn’t believe the detail I could capture of the Milky Way so early on. A truly great spot for star gazing🤩.

It was another fun evening under the stars enjoying the meteor show with my good mate Mathew Browne Photography 👌

Having returned from my holiday in sunny (it really was beautifully sunny) Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿I have a fair few images to catch-up on editing. I really wanted to start with this one, as I absoloutley love all cats (big and small 🐯😻🦁) and I absoloutley loved spending a fair portion of my visit to sat watching this majestic beast. The sumartan tiger is critically endangered and the zoo are doing a great job at providing a beautiful habitat and supporting conservations with some amazingn and very important genetic research. It would be a dream to one day recreate this image with a flourising population of wild Sumartan tigers ❤️

The Other Side

Last week I posted the image of lightening over Mwnt, this was the vue from the other angle...clear skies and shooting stars ☄️💫🌟😍

An unbelievable and u forgettable night with so much to see and photograph. It was the height of the perseids meteor shower, and I thought I had no hope of capturing any because of the weather, but Mwnt really is a magical place that seemed to open a little pocket for me to watch the show.

This is about 10 images stitched together to show all the shooting stars caught on Camera (there were a few other memorable shots that were out of frame unfortunately). To come away with anything that night was a bonus but to capture a few at this amazing spot made my day. 😊👍📷🌃❤️
