We provide Aerial Photography and Videography using drones to a variety of industries such as Hotel and Leisure, Property sales, Commercial Businesses, Construction/ Architects and Loss Adjusters for Insurance Claims. We are one only 14% of companies in the country who have the 0-20kg license from the Civil Aviation Authority, this means we are able to carry more high tech recording equipment to p

roduce better results. We also use video-link in order for both the pilot and the client to see exactly what the camera can see from above in real-time. We undertake commissions from throughout the UK and even further afield.

Packed week with some good projects under our belt, completed roof inspections of residential and commercial properties, solar farm projects and property marketing for some of our regular clients and welcomed a couple of new clients onboard, but two contracts we've fulfilled this week that stood out for us, were a roof inspection for a PPM report at a retail outlet (over 8000 images captured!) and one at HS2 in various locations between Birmingham and Aylesbury.

DroneCam Solutions have provided our client with another large scale drone inspection of the roof area of this shopping centre in South Yorkshire to assist with our clients PPM. By capturing imagery of all roof areas we were able to help streamline our clients process by greatly reducing the time on site whilst mitigating safety concerns around working at height.

DroneCam Solutions have completed a roof inspection for our valued client for 33 units in Gateshead, we were tasked with capturing high resolution imagery of all aspects of the roof areas including flues and RWG. In addition to this, we provided video overviews of each unit and a 3d map of the entire site to assist with their PPM report.

A lot has changed in the last 9 years at DroneCam Solutions, except for our logo. Opted for a more simplified logo, decided to drop the image of the drone as it’s in our name!

Data collection for a roof inspection completed for a hospital in West Yorkshire. DroneCam Solutions were contacted to help locate damage to the roof following water ingress, we have provided roof inspections for our client at multiple NHS sites with some good results.

Been a busy few weeks completing roof inspections for a clients portfolio, taken us all over the country with some early starts and late finishes but got the job done! Great view of Canterbury Cathedral from one of the roof inspections which was close by.

Trip to the Port of Tyne where the dome of the lighthouse ended up in the water after the last storm. Restoration works are underway and DroneCam Solutions are providing both drone footage and Timelapse of the works in progress, it was 45mph wind gusts at the top this morning, phone nearly blew out of my hand! 😱🙈

Great to have received our 9th consecutive Operational Authorisation from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

When we started in 2016, the CAA permissions were called a PFAW (Permission For Aerial Work), it then changed to PFCO (Permission For Commercial Operation) before changing to OA (Operational Authorisation). Whilst the name may have changed, our committment to ensuring each drone flight we conduct adheres to our Operations Manual hasn’t.

As with many industry regulators, policies and procedures can be ever changing, and the CAA is no exception. As a drone operator, we, DroneCam Solutions, keep our Operations Manual (OM) updated to reflect the changes to policy and procedures, our OM is reviewed by the CAA annually to demonstrate our understanding of the changes implemented in the way we work.

Once the review is complete, we receive our OA meaning we’re safe and have the relevant authorisation to go for another year.

Been a bit quiet over the last couple of weeks due to a number of ongoing projects. Most interesting one has to be the below pictured site in Plymouth.
DroneCam Solutions were appointed to conduct a drone inspection of the largest group of Grade 1 and Grade 1* listed buildings in Europe. The site is incredible, Grade 1* listing is afforded to buildings with unique architectural significance that can not be found anywhere else in the world…. More in the comments ⬇️⬇️
