Very rarely get out these days due to lack of transport, so took the opportunity yesterday as had car access.

Nothing particularly exciting planned, but one of the camo Honey Badgers & a nice livery RAF Shadow crew training at a similar time were just enough!

Sadly the Draken came back 30mins early before I arrived & the Shadow crew training turned out to be a much delayed single touch & go! Oh well!

Caught a few other things - and a nice wave & thumbs up - while I was there.

Another week, another foreign C-130J at Teesside. This time courtesy of Luftwaffe, on a NATO mission picking up Netherlands troops.

Another nip out to see the Norwegian C-130J return.

Considering another murky day, an overgrown hedge with no time to change location for arrival & then being moved by security as it was taxiing for departure they're not too bad!

Royal Norwegian Air Force C-130J visiting Teesside this morning. I think probably bringing troops for the ranges, though could be Draken related as they have red air contract.

Was sadly very wet & gloomy. Nice to try out the new road for 05 departures which works pretty well - though a bit of PS removal of posts & fences has been utilised to improve a couple. And moronic that they haven't included a spotters lay-by on it as it's inevitably going to become popular.

Nice unusual visitor at MME this morning - Royal Australian Air Force C-130J Hercules.

It still boggles my mind that the RAF have given up the C-130J - though have no doubt not their choice. The ultimate transport workhorse. Maybe not the most modern but remains unmatched in it's capabilities.

That Lockheed & the US Navy just confirmed the E-130J TACAMO variant - a new 18th variant of the Hercules - shows just how current & relevant it remains.

Nipped out to the airport for the visiting Oil Spill Response 727. Seen it many times but still always a pleasure to photograph.

Also caught a 3 ship of the Draken Honey Badgers departing.

Thanks very much to Neil for the lift.

Also caught an EasyJet A319 crew training approaches & the late departure of the Eastern E190 for KLM.

Quick nip out to Teesside this morning for the "FedEx" training flight as it's the start of a new era for the airport.

Wish I'd check before going as if realised it wasn't actually FedEx plane I may not have bothered!

Still nice sunny day & good to catch up with Neil.
