Happy Mother’s Day to everyone celebrating!

I feel extra lucky today, as I get to celebrate this day twice.

Growing up, I must’ve written countless essays titled “My Mother.” It was always the easiest thing to do—because praising her came so naturally.

She is beautiful. Independent. Firm. A brilliant listener. Compassionate. Hardworking. Pragmatic. She doesn’t rely on others for joy—she creates it for herself. She has unwavering faith, is an exceptional cook, a loving grandmother, and a wonderfully unobtrusive mother-in-law.

I’ve watched her transition through role after role with so much grace. If I can embody even a little of what she is, I’ll consider myself very lucky.

All press trips on one side and on the other.

The emotions in that stadium and outside was incomparable to anything else I have experienced in life.

Thanks for this opportunity.

A new home, a new beginning. ✨

You might have caught glimpses of it in my stories—I tried to hide the boxes, but I’ve realized it’s harder to hide than to just be. Seven months in the making, and while the house is a beautiful mess right now, this little kitchen window, bathed in morning sun, already feels like home.

Ramadan Mubarak to all my Muslim friends! 🌙✨

Sundays, I like to cook something special—whether it’s Vegan Chicken Curry, Biryani, Lasagna, or a special dessert. Today’s treat? Vegan Brownies! 🍫

It took me 8 years to perfect this recipe. Before going vegan, my brownies were spot on, but every vegan recipe I tried was either too gooey to cut or too cakey. Not this one! Crispy on top, fudgy in the middle, and no fancy ingredients—just the right measurements.

✨ The Recipe: ✨
🥄 1 cup plain flour
🥄 ⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
🥄 1¼ cups sugar
🥄 1 tsp baking powder
🥄 ½ cup melted vegan margarine
🥄 ½ cup unsweetened soy milk
🥄 1 tsp vanilla extract
🥄 ⅔ cup dairy-free choc chips and/or walnuts (optional)

Bake at 180°C for 20-25 mins (it should still look undercooked!). Let it cool for 2 hours, pop it in the fridge for an hour, then cut into perfect fudgy squares. 🤤

Save this recipe & let me know if you try it! 💕

Dreaming of an escape ✈️
Life won’t allow for one just now, so I’m taking a virtual flight back to my memories of Paris. 🌧️✨

Three days of rain and cold didn’t take away the city’s charm—it only made me appreciate its beauty in a different light. The warmth of the people shone through: my first proper (vegan) croissant in 8 years 🥐, delightful macarons 🩷, and an unexpected chat in Hindi with a friendly Pakistani kebab shop owner. Who’d have thought I’d be speaking Hindi in the middle of Paris? 🗼

Sometimes, it’s the little things that remind you how small and connected the world really is. 🌍

✨ This year’s mantra: STOP MORE. ✨

I’ve noticed how much time I spend rushing—juggling work, studies, family, and everything else life throws my way. It’s like the world keeps demanding more, and I just keep giving until there’s nothing left for me.

This year, I’m choosing to stop.

Stop to breathe. 🌿
Stop to read 📚
Stop to savour the moment. 🌸
Stop to simply be. 🌟

I know the year ahead is going to be full-on—my diary is full. That’s why I’m setting the intention to slow down and rest when I need it.

But if you don’t feel the pull to slow down, that’s OK too. Listen to your gut. What is calling you right now? Whether it’s rest, movement, or something completely different, trust yourself to know what you need.

Do you have a mantra or a word for 2025?

✨ 2024 has been a landmark year—a mosaic of firsts and unforgettable milestones. From launching my business to finally stepping into Europe, and celebrating our first child turning 18, this year has been nothing short of transformative. It tested me, taught me, and filled my heart with gratitude for every experience that shaped me.

As I close this chapter, I feel like a woman bathed in golden light after a long storm—resilient, radiant, and ready.

2025 will be a year of bold growth, fresh initiatives, and a deeper connection to my feminine essence - a little wiser, a little softer, and so much more aware of the strength it takes to embrace change.

Clive Soord, master of Raku pottery.

Had an absolute pleasure of witnessing Clive demonstrate the art of Raku right in his incredible home.

The highlight? Watching him sculpt a tiger out of Raku, a tribute to his son who serves in the Tiger regiment of the army.

There’s often a message behind Clive’s work. Take a look at the Tiger and it’s expression? What’s Clive trying to say?

Who else loves Autumn? It is one of my favourite seasons of the year. At this time of the year, it is not uncommon to feel a little blue and down in the dumps but nothing like a walk in the woods for me.

As a counsellor in training, we are asked to reflect on our own selves a lot. That can bring up a lot of pain and needs healing.

Self-care plays a vital role in maintaining self-compassion. Sometimes it might look like getting my nails done and sometimes just a walk in the woods shared with my family.

What is your current self-care regime or activity that fills your cup?

Capturing personal branding photos has always been a passion of mine, not just for the art, but for the connections I get to make along the way.
This time, it was a beautiful reunion with Basma, an old friend from farm school where our toddlers once played.
What made this shoot even more special was Basma’s incredible energy and her deep knowledge of Human Design and astrology. For those new to it, Human Design is a self-discovery system blending ancient traditions like astrology and I Ching, helping you understand your true nature.
As a sweet touch, she booked the very venue where I got married, saying, 'I thought it would be nice for you to revisit this space.' She was right—it was perfect. 🌿✨

Mike, The Hardy Gurdy Man.

The old musician sat on a weathered wooden stool, his back slightly hunched from years of dedication to his craft. His skin, a canvas of wrinkles, bore the stories of a long and well-lived life, each crease a testament to countless hours spent under the sun, traveling from village to village. His eyes, though not as sharp as they once were, still sparkled with the remnants of youthful passion and wisdom gained over decades.

In his hands, he cradled a beautifully aged hurdy-gurdy, the instrument as storied and timeworn as its master. The wood was polished smooth by years of handling, the keys and cranks showing signs of wear from relentless playing. As he began to play, the air filled with a hauntingly beautiful melody, the sound rich and resonant.

His fingers moved with a surprising agility, dancing over the keys and cranks with a grace that belied his years. Each note was precise, each rhythm flawless, as if time itself had paused to listen.
