Fede Photographs

Fede Photographs Hello, I'm Fede, a professional photographer based in Scotland. I hope you enjoy my photos and don't hesitate to contact me if you'd like to hire me. Hello!

I am Federica, but you can call me Fede. I am an Italian girl currently living in Perth, Scotland, and I am a professional photographer. As I have studied photography (and continue to do so on my own), have experience doing shoots and am always perfecting my knowledge and skills, you can rest assured that, when hiring me, you are not hiring an amateur, but a person who takes their photography seri

ously and will strive to deliver to you the perfect shots. I offer a variety of photographic services for various areas, which you can find below:

Cosplay: I love to photograph cosplayers, as I realise how passionate cosplaying is and the effort behind it – therefore, I’d love to give cosplayers the opportunity to have really high quality and also creative pictures of their cosplay. Portrait: Portraits are something I am very passionate about. If you’ve always had an idea for a portrait shoot, or would like to discuss something together, please don’t hesitate to contact me about it, I’d be more than happy to help you recreate your perfect shoot. Band/Artist Photoshoots: Are you a band or an artist of any kind with a vision in mind or an identity you want to show to the world? I would love to work with you to realise that vision and put your strong identity out there. Concert/Gig: I like to photograph local bands and solo artists, especially those who really like to put on a show. I love to capture moments in which performers are expressing themselves and doing what they love and do best. Fashion: Whether in a studio or outside, I adore fashion shoots. Whether you are a fashion blogger, a magazine, or anyone else in need of a fashion photographer, I would love to be your choice and to help you realise your perfect fashion shoot. Pet: Being myself a pet owner and animal lover, I know how much of an impact a pet can have in a person’s life. I enjoy photographing pets and know how much it means to have the perfect picture of your pet companion. If you have an idea for a shoot of your pet, I’d love to help you make that come true. Performances: Whether theatrical or of any other nature, inside or outside, there’s no denying that I am drawn to any kind of performance. I see performances as very special occasions, where no performance is ever the same as another (I would know, having done theatre for 5 years in school), so that’s where my desire to capture moments really comes into play. I’d love to have the chance to capture moments of your performance. Events: The type of events I will photograph is dictated by whether I am interested in the event myself. Events I’m interested in include conventions and local community events. If you would like to employ me to photograph an event, please don’t be discouraged to contact me, there is always a chance I might be interested. If you're uncertain of whether I do a specific type of photography which is not listed here, please contact me, as the project you have in mind might still interest me. If you would like to hire me as your photographer, I’d love to hear from you!

MY PORTFOLIO HAS BEEN REVAMPED! 📸

As some of you might have noticed, my portfolio has been under maintenance for the past few months as I focused on my coursework, some of which involved making a short film! But I always wanted to rehaul my portfolio in some way, as I wanted it to show my skills in other areas other than photography, and I felt the way it was before, it wasn't showing the full picture (pun intended) of me as an artist. I was finally hit with inspiration recently and I am very happy with the result! Now my portfolio shows the three creative areas I specialise in: photography, cinematography and writing.

These three areas all intertwine in some way - my writing intertwines with my photography (as I write gig reviews) and my cinematography (as I write scripts); and my photography and cinematography intertwine with each other as I use composition techniques, lighting, colour, etc. from one to the other. When I make progress in one area, I make progress with the others, too.

And my portfolio now also has a blogging section, too! To showcase more of my writing, but also to post interesting reflections on my art and my progress. I have two posts already in the works and I really look forward to filling it with content that might also help other creatives.

My portfolio will inevitably go through more changes as I make more things, but I'm really happy with the way it's looking just now. I hope that you like it, too! Please check it out, and as always, feel free to get in touch if you have any projects you'd like to work on together!

Well, this happened today! I was on crew photographing the opening of Duncarron, a medieval fort, and I got to photograph a medieval band! Guess I'm now a "medieval band photographer"? I like that title! 😄

More photos of this fantastic event to come soon! Just... after this very fun medieval weekend is over! ⚔🛡

Hello dear followers!

I hope you’re all doing well! I know my photography page hasn’t been updated much, but I have good reasons for that. In August of last year, I relocated to another city (which thankfully makes covering gigs easier!), started a new creative and demanding degree and have been really busy with coursework (some of which include producing a video documentary, a radio documentary and soon a short film!).

However, I have some good news!

As the end of my first year is fast approaching, I will be updating this page more often and hopefully, I will be covering some more gigs from now on. I have already obtained a media pass for a gig I’m really looking forward to in May, which means another review is coming soon! Also, I have quite a backlog of photographs that I never got around to uploading on this page — these will be uploaded gradually in the upcoming weeks.

Moreover, thanks to my degree, I have learned a lot of new skills and feel now more comfortable doing some videography as well as photography. So there might be some music videos posted here in the future as well! 🎥

Finally, I wanted to take a small moment to say that you might find different types of photographs here from now on, not just gig photography. I enjoy concert photography a lot, but I also want to branch out and develop myself further in other and all areas of photography that are dear to me. I have embarked on some new creative projects recently, but photography will always have a special place in my heart, and I am definitely not giving it up anytime soon.

That is all from me today! Keep an eye out for photos that will be posted soon. Thank you so much for reading this and for your constant support for this passion of mine — I really, really appreciate it. ❤️

On the 2nd of May, I was able to see and photograph Pinkshinyultrablast on the first leg of their UK tour, at the Broadcast in Glasgow, for RockShot Mag. Here is my review of their gig, along with my photos. I am very excited about my photos and my writing being published in a music magazine!

Hope you all enjoy it. :D

One of Russia’s foremost shoegaze bands, Pinkshinyultrablast (PSUB), are currently touring the UK in support of their new album, Miserable Miracles, which releases on the 4th of May. On the first leg of their tour, they performed at the Broadcast in Glasgow on the 2nd of May.
