Commercial Photography Tips and Tricks: Part 2

In this one Dariusz answers a question we’ve been asked for yearsssss: why do we mix flash and continuous light in our still photography and how do we do it.

We always want to stay away from that clinical (and now very AI) look as we aren’t a fan of it, we want to have that extra oompf and warmth to our imagery. It’s a style choice and we like it 💪

Honouring the legacy of British Playwright William Shakespeare, ROJA translate the beloved story of A Midsummer Night’s Dream into the language of scent.

The third of the Art Collection, we built on the existing world we had created with the first two fragrances and wanted to give a magical overtone to Shakespeare's enchanted forest.

Beauty photography shot for in store and online POS 😍

Working with the team on this set meant we had to wait for approval while literal ice was melting, but we were clever about it. We used our huge fake acrylic ice cubes as place holders so that the client could see the effect that ice would have in the shot, without wasting any of our valuable good looking ice cubes. Place the real cubes in the frame and shot done! 🧊

Drip drip baby 💧 More online and in store POS shot for 💙

We seem to always have the most fun when we're making a huge watery mess of the studio. Water going in every direction, even somehow behind the whole set, but boy when you capture the perfect drip or splash or ripple that you need, there's no better feeling truly 🥰

The UK heatwave might be beginning today but we're feeling icy with another set that we shot for in store and online POS imagery ❄️

Working with ice is not ideal, especially on the top floor of an old Georgian building that gets absolutely sweltering in the mildest weather 🙃
