One of the old worked levels in this former lead mine with ore chutes still in situ, the number of chutes you see throughout this place tells the scale of the workings. The mine is heavily stained yellow from the high iron content.

Following these stone lined tunnels in this former lead mine, it's very obvious as to why they supported these particular sections of the levels being driven through large amounts of shale.

A range of ore chutes and heavy ring supports on the 300ft level inside this abandoned fluorspar mine left since the 1980's.

Traversing through this large stope in this old Derbsyhire lead mine, this shows only a small portion of the scale of the workings in this place. Operations ceased in the 1980's.

Following this dry stone arched tunnel into this level inside these old mine workings covered in rustic iron formations. Primarily worked for lead from 1851 until its closure in 1921.
