👨‍💻 Behind the scenes update!

Behind the scenes of running a business there is a massive amount of work that has to be done regularly!

For example I am currently going through my website and giving it a bit of a refresh and streamline!

The other day I went through and started to streamline my text/wording and forgot to save the changes and now find myself back at square one!

There will be further updates coming as I update my self portraits and the wording on the website, thought I would take you on the journey with me to give you a bit of a behind the scenes look. This will also help me with what to post!

You are not just hiring a photographer, you are hiring the person.

It’s super important that when you have someone hanging around on your wedding day that they can make the guests feel at ease, comfortable and be able to make them laugh. This is what I bring to the table.

I work with people who hate being in front of the camera. But I make them feel at ease. I understand neurodivergent brains, I am part of the LGBTQ+ community , so I know what It feels like to be judged. You don’t want someone who judges at your wedding, you want someone who gets it. And can work to take the best pictures of your guests and your special day.

Awkward poses can get in the bin, let’s bring in the smiles, the kisses and the special moments.
My clients say I bring the fun to the party, I bring the ease and people say they have never felt so comfortable and seen.

Yesterday I was having a chat with my ADHD business coach Maddy Alexander-Grout , we were talking about how she wasn’t 100% happy with her wedding photos.

She felt uncomfortable posing for pictures as a neurodivergent, and I totally get that being on the spectrum myself.

Cameras in faces is super awkward, I much prefer taking the candid shots, the ones where people are having the time of their lives on the best day of their lives.

Having to herd people, to get the posed ones sucks, especially if there are children thrown in as well, and neurodivergent people often have other neurodivergent friends.

Hands up if you hate posing for pictures! 🙆‍♂️

My aim on your special day is to capture the joy, capture the essence of your guests , especially those who feel uncomfortable having their picture taking in the first place.

If you want to pose, great we can take a couple of shots- but the best ones are always the ones I get when I’m standing on a chair, and you don’t know I’m there, the ones during the speeches where I can’t a little tear.

I’m the nimble photographer because I can take pictures from angles you wouldn’t ever expect.

And the results- you get natural and happy photos, with no one out of their comfort zone!
