20 minutes on the beach for a lifetime of memories…it’s not a bad trade off is it?
Our beach family mini sessions have made up the bulk of our work lately and it’s easy to see why! Downhill feels special to me, it’s my family’s happy place and we’re there all year round. From deepest winter when you have to wear all the layers you can, to the height of summer when just a pair of shorts is enough (or less if my kids can get away with it).
The evening light here is stunning, and with a family as lovely as the McMullans it makes my job even easier.
We have dates coming up throughout the summer if you’d like to have your very own family shoot at the beach, and our mini sessions are only £40 for each 20 minute shoot.

Ness Woods Summer Evening Mini Sessions
Friday 12th June

We’re excited to announce an evening of family portrait mini sessions on Friday 12th of June in the beautiful Ness Woods. Located just 15 minutes outside L’Derry just off the A6 this really is a hidden gem of a place.

An ancient oak woodland, with well established paths which lead to the (sometimes) dramatic waterfall and an amazing play-park make it a fabulous place for families and kids to stretch their legs and relax. If you haven’t been before it

Our family sessions take the form of a short walk as we explore the outskirts for the forest, so don’t be worrying about having to put your hiking boots on. We keep everything close at hand, so even little feet will be fine.

You’ll quickly find out our family sessions are fun and chilled out, with lots of movement and play. Most of our clients come away saying how easy it was and how much they enjoyed their session so you’ll be in safe hands with us even if you’re nervous about having your photo taken.

Session length: 20 minutes
Price: £40
Each session includes 4 hand edited, high resolution digital images to download and keep with the option of purchasing the full gallery (approximately 20+ images) for an additional £40.
Sessions will run from 7pm till 9pm.

Our diary is open for 2026 dates and onwards into 2027, and all our full day wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session to give you a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, as well as some more stunning portraits of you both to keep the excitement building.
Full day coverage starts at just £1400 and we offer both photo and video services.
