Dáire ✨
Our beautiful little baby boy, my always and forever.
After photographing happy families for so many years I’ve dreamt of the day I would start my own family and have these special moments captured.
If only I can find a way to make this time slow down, he has grown so much bigger and brighter in the few short weeks he has entered our world. We have loved living in our newborn bubble and are so excited to watch him grow. I carried him for nine months but he has no idea how much he has carried me this year. My purpose and my strength.
My lovely sister in law Fiona, reminded me that; baby girls in the womb have all their eggs for their future babies. So at one point my Mammy carried both me and Dáire.
Before she passed my mammy wrote her gratitude list for 2023, the top was that she was going to become a granny. I know she would have been the most fabulous, glamorous granny there would be.
The thought of this little baby needing me to be strong got me through grieving during my pregnancy. We’ve grown so much together, some days hard, some not as bad. Life can be so unfair sometimes, but looking at my husband-to-be cradle our first born, with tears in my eyes and my heart racing, I know that these are some are the best times of my life and everything I’ve ever wished for.
He is a very lucky baby to have an angel in the sky. Maybe he was sent to help his mammy’s heart mend. Because as my Mammy taught me there’s nothing we can’t make it through together. My beautiful little family, my always and forever.
