Rachael and Conor two lovebirds, from just around the corner

I called for coffee a week before the wedding, headed around on the skateboard, what a way to travel to work. We enjoyed an evening of easy company craic and inspiring one another, sharing ideas. I knew this would be a classic wedding day, for these are great folk, energised for life and fun…and sure don’t they just live around the corner from me

The wee chapel on the hill, Iskaheen, the lush woods of Lisnagra, the hills over the county at Grainne’s Gap and onward to our final destination nestled on the banks of Lough Swilly  -The Red Door…all the ingredients for the greatest of day

A massive thank you to the Doherty and Deery families, the mad aunties, the scousers, Derry folk, Donegal folk, Liverpudlians,, Fr Farren, wee granny Doreen, my pals at The Red Door and everyone that gave their goodness to make this day everything I know Rachel and Conor dreamed it would be

Aaron and Tina, the king and queen of the epic kiss…

Yes 2026 was the year of the epic kiss, the mighty dip, dip on the aisle, lift and kiss, squeeeeeze and kiss - it was a year of some serious kissin’ alright. These two lovecats were right up there, embracing by the sea and on the dancefloor, stopping mid-aisle for another … wow , what a show

I loved getting to know these people and hearing the endless tales…their love for animals, birdies mostly, a bit like myself, their journey together until now. The sun shone on them the day long, what a gift from mother nature for which we are all so grateful. The craic was endless, their people ensured the party raged at a high energy

Go n-éirí an bóthar leat  - good luck on the road ahead…

Well…actually - yes - bring them to the water’s edge, let a glorious sun shine upon them the day long, let there be a surprise trip on a speedboat, endless rivers of ch*****ne, screams of the purest joy, and dancing on the tables until dawn

Morning salute in a far off land...I found a wee sanctuary amongst the chaos of travel and the unknown. Time to lay a foundation for a big day ahead - new languages, sights and smells await and a train beneath the sea....I still cannot believe such a feat exists.

Oh, how I ladored this wedding day…bring good folk to my camera, take me to the Isle, set me amongst good drinkers outside the pub during festival week, take me to the wild atlantic on a serene quiet afternoon that bursts with colour and beautiful Donegal energy, feed me good coffee at the lodge and let me photograph the craic in the garden and by the bar til it’s time to wrap up

Emma and Aaron, you are a gift to this world - 2 of the most wonderful souls, with hearts full of love, a great sense of joy for life and devoted to each other

Thank you everyone…it was a total privilege to me amongst you and document this day in history

Jeepers, heavy heavy news on a rainy summer's day. Glen Hansard's soul has passed to the other side. That's hard to take in. We were always huge fans of the music, me and the wife had a date in the early days to the Millennium, I flagged a press pass via the Derry News, we had the whole upper floor of the Forum to ourselves, what an experience
As much as the music, it is the stories, the inspiration, the graft. I've used this quote for fuel for years, I have it written on a post it note by my desk,,, success, what is it more than 'freedom to do whatever you want to do in life'

We were on the streets of Dublin a few years back, dishing out cash and sleeping bags to the homeless, half inspired, half afraid...and happened upon Glen and a few kids Busking away, no crowds, no hype, just real...

We didn’t stray too far, Aoife suggested some photos by granny's house… the lane, the meadow across the road…and that’s how the story went

I often say you could stop anywhere along the road in Donegal and find a beautiful location for photography…especially in the high season - colour, texture, that rich feeling of nature all around…
