🎂 LAST MINUTE CAKE SMASH MODEL CALL! 🎂

I'm looking for a few little girls to model for cake smash sessions tomorrow, Saturday 30th May, in the afternoon at my Dingwall studio as I have two cakes.

A few last-minute spaces have become available, and I already have some beautiful cakes from Badass Bakes ready to go! 🎂

✨ Girls aged 10 to 12 months

✨ No dairy allergies or intolerances (the cakes contain dairy)

✨ Parents who are happy for images to be used on my website, Facebook and social media

✨ Little ones who are happy sitting independently

What's included?

Being his mum is one of my greatest privileges 🤍

My first born Noah. My little sidekick through so many chapters of life.

Through all the chaos, the busy seasons, the hard days, the laughter, the milestones… one thing we’ve always done is capture the memories. Sometimes planned, sometimes completely on a whim because why not? 📸✨

This photo? Completely unplanned. We’d just finished another photoshoot this weekend and it was a quick “come on, let’s grab a photo together.”

No makeup, hair doing its own thing, absolutely not prepared 😂 but he made the rule... if I took his photo, he was taking mine too 🤍

Those are usually the ones that end up meaning the most because one day these ordinary little moments become the memories we treasure most.

As a photographer, I spend my life helping other families preserve their memories… but being in the frame with my own babies matters just as much.

Photos aren’t just for the big milestones.
They’re for the messy hair days, spontaneous cuddles, and the quick little moments you nearly don’t stop for.

Anyway… back to editing 😅

🎄 QUICK CHRISTMAS INTERRUPTION 🎄

There are only 7 months (214 days!) until Christmas Eve 😳🎄

Which in photographer time means only 5 months until Christmas shoot season begins 🤯📸

Yes… I already have all the backdrops 😂✨

Also fairly certain Santa has already taken a detour to my house and stolen my snacks… 👀🍫🎅🏻

While everyone else is thinking BBQs and sunshine, I’m over here mentally unpacking fake snow and festive chaos 🎄☕🤣

Another amazing shoot with Lou done....

Photography never started as a hobby for me... it wasn’t an "I can do that" and picked up a camera.

For me it was at 19 years old when Children and Studio Photography entered my life...

Where I spent 4 years training and shooting multiple families a day or out canvassing usually as a terrible mascot,
scooting around the 6 photography studios over Glasgow, Edinburgh and Newcastle even training staff in the end... now I am 38.... and I am grateful this really is my life.

Despite being less than part time right now for health reasons and waiting for surgery I am still shooting when I can and doing newborns as they come.

The amazing Louise & Malia
(and John too)
have been with me on my photography business journey for almost 7 years!!

From that first maternity to every shoot inbetween Lou is one of the top clients with the most shoots under her belt.

I love all my clients, those who choose to come again and again, that means more to be than the job itself.

Call me sentimental but getting to be the one who captures your families over and over is the best feeling ever!!

🎂 IT’S MY BIRTHDAY… so let’s have a wee celebration competition 🎁🤍

I’m 38 today 🥂✨ and have officially reached the stage of life where grey hairs have entered the chat 😂🤍

Gallbladder continues to cause the severe chaos so no nice meals out or fancy big cake,
finally get to see the surgeon in a few weeks, so hopefully (as long as I don’t end up on another emergency A&E adventure 🙈) I might soon have a much clearer idea of when surgery will happen and when this gallbladder saga can finally be behind me. Its been 4 years but only being able to eat one meal a day sucks.

For now, I’m still working a very limited part time with newborn sessions only, with a big goal of getting back to full time very soon doing what I love most 📸🤍

BUT because it’s my birthday… let’s make it fun 🥂✨
