A little update from me...

Firstly huge changes my hair is no longer blonde ahhh and the weight loss has been insane since my surgery but yes back to business....

Almost 3 weeks post surgery and 2 weeks since I finally left hospital. It's hard to believe it's already been 4 weeks since I was first admitted.

That awful infection that came after surgery is thankfully gone too.
I'm still recovering from that and the allergic reaction to the medication and the stroke-like symptoms though, so I'm a bit wobbly and definitely still have healing to do.
(Suspected to have been a motor aura migraine which I have no idea about them but its getting investigated.)

The nhs staff were amazing at fixing everything despite being one of the busiest times in there.
I was well looked after and cant thank them enough.

From a work point...

I've been quietly working away behind the scenes, editing for a few hours each day before my body tells me it's time to stop. Thank you all for your patience while I catch up.

Today's little win was being able to enjoy lunch with my best friend without the gallbladder pain and severe pain after eating out that had become part of everyday life since April.

I'm getting there, one day at a time, and I can't wait to be back behind the camera soon. 📸✨

My books will reopen in August on limited slots.

✨ Exciting news... I finally feel like I'm turning a corner! ✨

I'm now 13 days post-op. Recovery is definitely taking longer than I'd hoped and I'm still quite sore, but each day I'm feeling a little bit stronger.

One unexpected bonus is realising just how much my gallbladder had been affecting me. I already have more energy, but I'm learning to listen to my body and take things one day at a time.

As for being back behind the camera... 📸
I'm not quite there yet.

Photography is a very physical job, especially newborn sessions, so I need to be careful not to rush back too soon and set my recovery back.

I'll be taking the rest of July to heal properly and plan to be back shooting from August.

For now, from Monday I'll be focusing on catching up behind the scenes:

📸 Editing the final 6 galleries.
📩 Replying to messages.
🗓️ Arranging bookings.
🧾 Sending invoices.
🖼️ Ordering products.
💻 Catching up on all the admin.

A huge thank you to everyone who has already ordered from this year's nursery graduations. Every single order means so much to my little business. 💛

I'm really looking forward to getting back to maternity sessions, newborns, cake smashes and, before we know it... Christmas! 🎄📸

Still in hospital been here 12 days,
may need a 2nd surgery over the weekend...

Overwhelmed tired and fed up but here's hoping they get this infection under control soon 🥺

Not a woah is me because I actually like hospital food haha and its made me slow down but it is why I have not got energy to respond to messages right now.

A little behind the scenes from Saturday morning... 📸✨

Before I ended up in hospital, we had our early Sweet 16 celebrations for Chloe in the studio.

Most of the time Chloe is the one running around behind the scenes, helping with shoots, carrying props, and jumping into the odd reel with me. This time though, it was her turn. Her moment in front of the camera.

From 5 years old, she started my journey into motherhood, and I'll always be grateful for that unconditional love and of course having a girl to watch girls films with.

Happy 16th Birthday, my gorgeous girl. I can't wait to get home, recover, and start editing this gallery. It's going to be such a special one. 🥳📸✨

From 6 to 16, and every birthday in between, I've loved being your stepmum. ❤️

I'm also quite glad I've got one girl on my team in this house full of boys! 🤣

It's finally happening... 💙

I'm in hospital and waiting for my gallbladder surgery.
Been here for a few days after the gallbladder chose chaos on Sunday.

There may be a slight delay with galleries, but as soon as I'm home I'll get everything organised and make a plan.
Recovery will need to come first, so I'm in a little bit of limbo for now.

Thankfully I'd already planned to take most of July off to spend time with the boys, so the timing has actually worked out in my favour.

Thank you all so much for your patience and support. Hopefully this is the start of feeling much better, and I'll be back behind the camera as soon as I'm able. 📸✨

Wish me luck for a quick recovery, I hate sitting still for to long.

It's not every year you get to celebrate your birthday and Father's Day on the very same weekend... so I think Colin deserves a bit of extra fuss this year! 🥳🎉

We've all seen Lou and Malia's beautiful maternity session... but this time the girls were back, joined by Dad and the newest little member of the family, baby Vaiha. ✨

I've had the privilege of knowing Malia since she was still growing in her mum's tummy, so welcoming everyone back to the studio to meet her new baby sister was incredibly special. One of the greatest joys of my job is watching families grow, and I already can't wait to watch little Vaiha's journey unfold too.

📸✨ Whoops... what a day!

I haven't quite managed to get back to everyone yet. Noah had a difficult night with his asthma, which resulted in paramedics being called out. Thankfully he's home with us, but things still aren't fully under control yet, so today has been a quiet day at home while we keep a close eye on him.

Today was meant to be my big admin catch-up day, but instead I've been finishing off the nursery graduation galleries and getting everything organised ahead of birthday celebrations this weekend for Dad and Chloe.
