Yesterday, along with we presented our photography project at in London at conference. Its a call for midwives with cameras to take sensitive, compassionate photos for mothers who are in complex safeguarding situations before they are separated from their babies. This project has been in our hearts for many years and I feel very proud that we are now able to share what we have been working on.... all photos taken stay with mum and baby, as a token of recognition for their disenfranchised grief in the most difficult of situations. As midwives we play a crucial part in this harrowing moment, holding the babies, keeping them safe, respectful and without judgement..... so if you are a midwife with a camera get in touch .... lets get the project nationwide 📸
