Dan Waters Creative Photography Wedding photos that are full of life, love and laughter and remind you how your day felt, not just how it looked. Your wedding photography is in good hands.

Family photos where no child is too crazy or too shy… I will not be defeated! As 'The World's Most Helpful Photographer' I'm running a project to do something nice for someone from every country on earth. As your wedding photographer here's how I can help serve you like no-one else. No agonising over which photos to choose for your wedding album
Every photo from your wedding can be included in you

r album at no extra charge, whatever package you choose. It's all about you
We've all heard or experienced horror stories of rude and unpleasant wedding photographers. Stunning photos are the least you should expect - I pride myself on representing you impeccably in front of your family and friends. I've photographed for the BBC and CNN
I don't want to bore you with my credentials, but my photography has been used by the BBC, CNN, Digital Photography School and many other illustrious organisations. What happens if your photographer can't make it? No photographer can guarantee they will be fit and healthy on your wedding day. A broken leg or even a twisted ankle could mean disaster. If I'm unable to find you a suitable alternative I'll not only refund you, I'll pay for half of your replacement photographer. Money-back guarantee
Everything about my service is built around keeping you happy, so you can get on with enjoying your wedding. That's why I offer a money back guarantee - to give you the peace of mind that your happiness comes first. So, if you're not THRILLED with your wedding photos (not just satisfied - THRILLED!) I will give you all your money-back. You can get on with enjoying your day
I scout your wedding venue a couple of weeks before your wedding (either with or without you) so I can suggest great locations in terms of lighting and composition. By creating a plan for you everything runs quickly and smoothly. Every photo is lovingly enhanced
I spend hours and hours enhancing your wedding photos in Photoshop so that every single one looks beautiful and just the way you like it. These subtle touches to colour, sharpness, lighting and contrast are what make good photos great. Most wedding photographers will only Photoshop a handful of shots, or none at all. I'll enhance every single one so everyone looks great. Project your old family photos at your wedding
I can turn your 'growing up' photos into a beautiful video I can project for you at your wedding. We can project your engagement session too. Seven secrets to loving your wedding photos

Testimonials
"I have so many wonderful photos of my wedding day thanks to Dan, I don't know which ones to choose to hang on the wall! Dan has a wonderful skill, and takes great pride in his work. He is very creative and spent time thinking of ideas of different shots he would like to try to do on the day. Dan blended in with all of the guests at the wedding, and we had a lovely calm, relaxing day. There were quite a few young children at the wedding, and Dan took pictures of them all smiling and enjoying themselves, not an easy task! We also 'rocked the dress' after the wedding which was great fun, and even more wonderful photos to try and choose from to put on the wall! I need a bigger house! I highly recommend Dan to take any photos, we were so impressed with him!"
Helen and Steve Deamer, Yaxley

"Wow, Dan, I just got in from work and WOW man, there are some lovely shots here. Debbie should be home anytime now, and rest assured we'll have much to discuss. Thanks so much for your time, help and encouragement thus far. You'll hear from me very soon. Can you feel my smile?"
Steve King (Ex Member of The Drifters)

"Thank you so much for your beautiful wedding photos. You were thrown in at the deep end at times on the day but remained completely professional and understanding at all times. How you managed to capture so many lovely photos and for us to hardly notice you were there is beyond me! We have so many beautiful photos to look back on in the future years which I know will make us remember every moment. All the photos were touched up and made to look perfect and I really appreciate the extra work you did after giving them to us. Thank you thank you thank you." Kathryn Girdlestone, Thrapston. "We got in touch with Dan to take our wedding photos because he was a local photographer with a very impressive portfolio, very competitive rates and a big claim to be 'the world's most helpful photographer'. At every stage in the process Dan proved to be considerate and knowledgeable. His experience and skill with every aspect of photography shone through - mechanics, framing, teaching us subtle natural poses!, post-shoot editing, and no doubt many other things which I've no idea about but which went into making the official photos of our special day so perfect. We would recommend him to anyone - in fact we've even booked him to give us photography lessons as a Christmas treat to ourselves." Paul and Clare Furnborough, Peterborough

"Wow!!! All I can say is they are flippin amazing!! Thank you so much. I want them all - you've made me look amazing. Love themmm!!! Honestly, thank you so much, they're just what I wanted." Nichola Roberts, Peterborough

"Very kind, thoughtful service that I can thoroughly recommend. Dan is a lovely chap and the photos are fantastic." David Seaton, MP for Peterborough

What a brilliantly bonkers wedding!

I always like my photos to be full of life, love and laughter… and James and Tracie’s wedding managed to add an extra ‘L’ word… lunacy!

They warned me anything could happen and it didn’t disappoint.

James dropped his wedding ring through a crack in the pergola (see photo of the death defying scramble to grab it without getting crushed as some of the guests lifted up the pergola).

James lifted his nan up and cradled her like a little baby.

James stripped down to his underwear to cool off in the blistering heat.

OK, so James was the common thread running through a lot of the shenanigans… but it was all fuelled by pure joy and excitement.

Amongst the fun was a whole lot of emotion, with tears in the morning, during the service and the speeches.

There were lots of children too and one of the highlights was having them all bundle on top of James and Tracie on the bouncy castle.

And all that after already being together over 20 years… definitely true love.

A fabulous day that exploded with all the best emotions and will live long in the memory for us all.

As you might have seen from yesterday's post Abbie and Jacob love a laugh! 🤣

Luckily Jacob decided to marry Abbie and wasn't persuaded by Jamie's advances!

They had lots of ideas for how they wanted to make their wedding fun and it didn't disappoint.

The challenge was fitting everything in, especially in the 30 degree heat. But everyone gave it their all and we've all got so many great memories from a fabulous day.

Often the people who shine the brightest don’t even realise it.

The fabulous Liam and Ellie were kind, sweet and chilled all day, despite the 30 degree heat…. Except for one moment…

…when Ellie began her glide down the aisle Liam turned around and momentarily lost it as he saw Ellie in something other than her football kit for a change!

He gathered himself quickly and they both beamed throughout the ceremony.

I loved the relaxed, rustic vibe of their reception venue Manor. The Rodeo Bull and the tractor / climbing frame were both fantastic focal points for the guests and my camera.

Thank you both so much for choosing me and I wish you all the love and luck in the world.

On a wedding day, usually at around 6pm once the hectic part of the day has calmed down I start to hunt...

I hunt for those quiet guests.

The guests who've sat in a corner all day hoping I'll ignore them.

The ones who turn their back as soon as they see me.

The unassuming ones who quietly chat without attracting attention.

I always try my hardest to get round all the guests my mingling and chatting.

I also ask my couples who the most important people are so I can make sure the critical people aren't missed.

Although the big dramatic moments are fabulous, I also love the quiet beauty of the moments in between...
..or even a nice, natural portrait of someone you treasure and deserves a chance to shine (whether they like it or not!). 🤣

Are you a lover or a fighter? In the current climate it sadly seems fighters outnumber lovers.

I've just been out out for a coffee with my friend Ryan Jarvis Photography who's also a fantastic local photographer... effectively my competitor.

I'd rather be friends with my 'competitors' than enemies.

In fact, a lot of us local wedding photographers are mates and we share enquiries when we're already booked.

Ryan and I actually had the same enquiry this morning (hi Denise!).

So even if I'm booked on your wedding date I can point you towards one of my very talented friends.

I think there's a message in there somewhere...

It was great to see the growing Geraghty family again and capture these timeless family photos in the bluebell woods.

And grandad made a guest appearance as a portable climbing frame!

Speaking of portable, I brought along my rope swing to attach to a suitable branch in the woods for an extra chuckle for the children.

There are two things couples always tell me when I ask them what's important about their wedding photos.

1. They must feel natural.
2. They want me to capture moments.

That's exactly what I love to do.

I also love creating some of those epic shots, but even those are designed so they don't look and feel awkward.

It's all in the expressions.

Every single person in these photos knows I'm there.

Just like a magician uses 'misdirection' to take your attention away while they steal your watch... I use misdirection to take your attention away from the camera.

I hide in plain sight like an extra groomsman and I even design the moment or I quickly grab it.

Either way, the expressions and personalities of the people in the photo remain natural and the moment is / feels genuine.

If this sounds like the kind of wedding photography you'd love then I'd love to hear from you to see if your date is still available.
