Here I have position the settings on the camera to make the closest object blurred and unfocused unlike the background where I have made it look more sharp and in focus.

Here, I took photos of my model using a Canon ESO 600D in a pitch black dark room. I used the flash to allow the camera to catch the movement of the model. I set the camera to a fast shutter speed of around 1/200 s and set the aperture to high to not allow as much light into the lens to create a darker image.
