P&P

They love Scotland and have come here from their home in Europe several times. This time they were celebrating 10 years of marriage in the Scottish Highlands, as part of a six week holiday in their van.

I loved photographing them so much - their love and respect for each other was so palpable - I actually cried during our shoot. It’s amazing the emotions that can surface sometimes.

Thank you P&P for asking me to photograph your love. It was truly a beautiful experience. Please come back again ♥️

LOVED this beautiful, intimate wedding at at the end of last month. Paul and Kristina and their immediate family travelled up from England to marry at our beautiful local castle.

Their wedding merged Nepali, Danish and English cultures and it was just so perfect.

The most gorgeous couple - a stunning bridal gown - beautiful flowers grown by Kristina’s mum and dad - an emotional ceremony by and the lifting of the fog after the ceremony so we could get some photos at a local viewpoint, which gave us some atmospheric cloud inversions.

So simple. So sweet. So filled with love.

Paul and Kristina - thank you so much for asking me to be part of your perfect day. I honestly loved every moment.

What a beautiful day for a wedding yesterday! The spring weather arrived in time for this lovely Mexican couple - Silvia & Luis - who travelled all the way to Eilean Donan Castle to be married, along with their nearest and dearest.

Before the ceremony, we went to a few nearby spots for some photographs and Silvia and Luis were blown away by how beautiful it is here. A passing cyclist on the Mam said he thought he was halloucinating after the uphill cycle, when he saw them standing at the side of the road 😂

SOPHIE & ALAN

A couple of weeks ago, local couple Sophie and Alan were married at Moll, in front of their family and the lovely Skye hills and travelled in style on this gorgeous vintage MacBraynes bus.

They were so keen to be able to do the ceremony outdoors and luckily they had just enough luck for that to happen on a day which became very wet and then snowy later on in the day. But, for just enough time in the morning they lucked out! They were married by .francesca in front of a stunning floral arch created by local florist with their gorgeous children Imogen and Ruiri by their sides.

After they were pronounced husband and wife it was down to .scot in Broadford for a delicious wedding lunch and then back to Moll for the party!

There were lots of people who made this day wonderful not least their friends who helped with all the setting up of the sheep shed into a fabulous reception venue complete with a trailer for the band to play on. Very cool!

EILEAN DONAN CASTLE

Gorgeous Greer and her soulmate Brad were married at my favourite castle last autumn and what a beautiful day I had with them. They were the sweetest, easiest and fun couple.

Brad and Greer LOVE Scotand and this wasn’t their first trip here (and I’m certain it won’t be the last!) They flew from the US to make their vows to one another with the help of the always wonderful who crafted a gorgeous ceremony for them.

The whole wedding day was organised by Hannah .events who is a delight to work with and always a joy to be around. I’ve worked with her several times now and can recommend her wedding planning skills.

majestically played Greer over the castle bridge to where Brad was waiting, and then piped them in to their ceremony.

Greer’s stunning, autumnal bouquet was created by Donald and her hair and make up was done by Zoe at
where they were staying while on Skye.

Thanks as always to the staff at for looking after us beautifully.

Greer and Brad…..thank you so much for having me along, for your wonderful gift of gorgeous cookbooks and your fun company on our day after shoot! Really hope we see you back again soon. Dinner at my house! ♥️♥️

SPRING WEDDING 💗

Last weekend the effervescent Abigail married her dashing Declan in front of their gorgeous family. Hamish the collie was special guest of honour (and of course I got lots of cuddles) and the whole day couldn’t have gone better.

played host and John and Nicola and their colleagues did a great job ensuring the day ran smoothly. My friend married Abigail and Declan in a gorgeous ceremony in the conservatory which had been stunningly decorated by two very talented ladies and Kirsten and Emma brought spring to the the hotel and it was stunning.

The evening was rounded off with a fantastic ceilidh and some spectacular fireworks.

What a day to start my 2026 wedding season!

The beautiful cake was baked and decorated by and Abigail’s hair and make up was Zoe at

WHAT A DAY ♥️🤩👌

with Cailin and Dane and their wee family, all the way from Canada. They stayed at for a few days this autumn so they could marry on Skye, where they got engaged last year (at Brother’s Point, which we returned to, of course!).

From the moment I walked in the door to the minute I left, I felt part of the gang. I had photographed Dane’s cousin Kevin’s elopement a few years ago and it was so wonderful to have that recommendation.

C&D wanted a humanist ceremony so I recommended my friend who is a total darling and also does great ceremonies - bonus!

After an extremely emotional tying of the knot, below the mighty Cuillin mountains, C&D and I headed up north to where Dane had proposed and they read private vows to each other.

The day was just glorious from start to finish and ended with them all tucking into a fabulous feast from Ken

I have one more elopement to shoot and then that’s the season finished for me. I’ve not shared much this year so I’ll be back@over the winter with more beautiful Skye elopement stories. In the meantime enjoy these photos from Cailin and Dane’s utterly gorgeous day.

W H Y should you elope to Scotland in autumn/fall?

Because sunrises and sunsets at not crazy times of the day

Because there are stunning colours in the landscape

Because the roads are slightly quieter

Because there are no midges! (This is a HUGE bonus)

Erica and Chance chose late September for their visit and were married on the banks of a river at the foot of the Cuillin mountains on Skye, by , our first, but hopefully not last, ceremony together. I’ve known Ally for many years as he has piped for loads of my couples but he’s now also marrying people too! Erica and Chance absolutely loved the ceremony he created for them, so definitely give him a look if you are thinking about a wedding in the Scottish Highlands.

After their vows were complete, we spent a few hours making gorgeous portraits in some of my favourite spots as the sun dipped towards the horizon.I dropped them off at the one and only for a fabulous feast courtesy of and his team. A truly wonderful day from start to finish.

Take a look at how their elopement unfolded….and check out Erica’s incredible shoes which she wore for dinner. So pretty aren’t they?!

Look at these two! Tomorrow they will be having their one week anniversary of what was just the most gorgeous few hours at where they were married by local registrar Annabel McLaren Lee in a beautiful ceremony.

The most heartfelt vows were spoken by both Rachel and Tom; lots of tears and emotional moments. It was just so special.

They were keen to marry outside, by the water. so we did portraits first and then the ceremony just before we lost the light completely. Their love is beautiful and I was so delighted to be part of their gorgeous elopement.

Big Thanks to for her, as always, brilliance; Donald for the most stunning bouquet; Ian Ruairi Finlayson for piping and witnessing and Heather and the castle staff who are always so accommodating. Rachel and Tom stayed at .
