AM Photographics I'm Anna, a photographer specialising in documentary-esque events and community storytelling. Thanks for stopping by!

I can usually be found with pockets full of pebbles on a beach somewhere, or navigating the funky rhythms of London's side streets.

Each time I go back to Dunbar it reveals something new. Whether its flowers stretching themselves from cliff faces toward the sun, or a pirate on a bridge trying to catch the moon, Dunbar is somewhere I keep discovering.

I totally fell in love with its contradictions, the steely nature of the harbour, full of gritty strength, texture and motion. Meanwhile, if you followed a kittiwake as it meandered its way to Belhaven, a silence slowly folds its way across the sands. My senses always want to gulp down as much of the environment as possible, roaming over its scents and edges. Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to stay. For now, a collection of moments from this summer.

Thank you to everyone so far who has allowed me to combine work and pleasure so far, especially my wonderful Nauti family who always welcome me home.

Happy world book day to one of my favourite bookshops in London. This wee barge tucked away by King’s Cross always provides a moment of slowness and tranquility.

As the google building towers above, this wee boat always reminds me of some kind of small and mighty wholesome rebellion.

With the occasional musician on its roof, there is always some kind of magic surrounding the bookshop, including the wonderful James, who once told me a story about the poggle who had no toes.

Definitely a place to return to again and again.

Had the immense pleasure of documenting the very early stages of the Abbey Church revival process. A central landmark in Dunbar, the Abbey has been through many iterations. First as a church, then home to the Sea Cadets and is now in the process of becoming a thriving community space for the town.

Closing the doors behind us, a peaceful silence swept across the nettles and layers of history peeling back under our feet. A strange sort of feeling in light of the roof, which is currently non existent. The remaining walls served as a prediction of what is to come and all those they will eventually hold.

Looking back to the first Dunbar Art Route. Artists studios across Dunbar and West Barns opened their doors to the public over a blustery October weekend. From kitchen tables, back gardens, shops and the Dunbar Townhouse, artists and makers stood amongst their work, offering insight into their processes and production. Apart from being a total success (all down to the tremendous efforts of the organisers), there was a palpable buzz and sense of collectiveness around the town. A truly inspiring weekend full of forged connections and community at its best.
