It definitely feels like a baby boom at the moment! 🤍👶

The studio has been full of gorgeous little babies recently, including baby Brooks and his big brother Leo. It was so special welcoming them back in, especially as I photographed Leo's newborn session too. Watching families grow and being trusted to capture those memories again is something I'll never take for granted.

A little business update while I'm here...

📸 I only have TWO session spaces remaining in June.

💍 We also have weddings this month as wedding season is a go! and we're looking forward to celebrating alongside some wonderful couples! But please bare this in mind if you need a session between now and September.

📱 I have lots of messages to work through this evening, but we're also busy photographing and filming Monifieth High School's formal. It's always such an honour to be asked by the school I attended myself, and I love seeing how supportive they are of both current and former pupils.

📚 Looking ahead to next month, I'll be heading down to England for a women's photography workshop and creative retreat, which I'm incredibly excited about. I firmly believe it's so important to invest in annual in-person training, not only to continue learning and developing creatively, but also to stay up to date with industry standards and safety practices.

‘I love you to the moon and back’ 🌙✨

This is one of my favourite newborn props — partly because it’s cute, and partly because it unlocks a very specific childhood memory every single time 😂

Me, my mum, and my little brother used to say different variations on the saying to each other every night growing up… which apparently stuck with me enough that at 17 I went and got a sun, moon & star tattoo on my ankle 🌞🌙⭐️

So now here I am, almost 10 years later, putting tiny babies into moon props for a living. Full circle really 🤍😂

I’m baaack 🫶🏻

I ended up taking extra time off work just to sort my wee head, try get back into a semi routine etc. today is the first day back shooting since the 1st of March.

I’ve got a long list of editing because of this I am only taking one more normal booking for this month (unless I have a cancellation space). So that I can focus on getting through this editing and not overwhelm myself too much. Unfortunately the joys of self employment if I don’t work.. I don’t get paid… the bills don’t get paid so I will be advertising model calls this evening for next month.

Most messages have been answered but there are still a bundle to get through which I’ll reply to this evening.

I cannot thank you all enough for the comments, messages, support and love. I’m still having bad days, tomorrow marks two weeks since the accident and not a minute goes by where I don’t think about it or him💔One day I’ll maybe be able to share publicly what has happened, everytime I share it I’m reliving the trauma so for now it’s time to just focus on the happy memories.

The accident that happened reminded me why I love my job, why I love taking photos, why it’s sooo important to capture everything even the photos with snotty beaks or mini meltdowns🤣 capture everything, everyone grows up so quickly and life is full of twists and turns💞

Making a slow return to work from today onwards. My wee heart is in pieces. Some of you are aware of the freak accident that happened Thursday evening.. it’s something that will stay with me forever.

Due to a serious family emergency last night, I will need to take some time away from work.
