Are you worried your toddler won’t behave for their photoshoot?

Are you imagining yourself saying “please just sit still” approximately 47 times? 😂

Guess what?
They won’t behave.
And that’s absolutely fine.

Toddlers are not supposed to sit perfectly still, smile on command and pose beautifully for an hour. They’re supposed to run, explore, laugh, hide, climb, pull funny faces and occasionally decide that they absolutely DO NOT want their photograph taken. 😂

And that’s where I come in.

There’s no pressure for your little one to “perform”. We’ll play, we’ll laugh, we’ll follow their lead and, somewhere amongst the chaos, we’ll get the shot.

In fact, some of my favourite images happen in the moments you thought were going completely wrong.

Because your toddler being them is exactly what I want to capture.

Natural. Relaxed. Full of personality.

How often do you stop and reflect on your journey? 🤍

How do you celebrate one of the biggest milestones of all becoming a parent?

From the moment you see those two little lines…
To feeling those first tiny kicks…
To holding your baby in your arms for the very first time.
It all happens so quickly.

As a studio photographer in Great Dunmow, Essex, I feel incredibly honoured when families invite me to capture both their maternity and newborn journey.

There is something so special about photographing a beautiful bump, knowing that just a few weeks later I may be holding that tiny new person in my studio and photographing them for the very first time. 🤍

And what makes it even more meaningful is knowing that these photographs become part of their story.

One day, that little baby will look back at these images.

They’ll see the bump they once grew inside.
They’ll see their tiny newborn hands and feet.
They’ll see just how small they once were.
And they’ll see the love that surrounded them from the very beginning.

The moments you somehow wish you could bottle up and keep forever.

As a studio photographer in Great Dunmow, Essex, I feel incredibly lucky to be invited into so many families’ stories.
I get to photograph the tiny newborn who will one day be running around the studio… the siblings who suddenly seem so much bigger… the grandparents watching their family grow… and all those little moments in between.

And what I love most?

Knowing that my photographs become part of a little human’s story. ❤️

One day, they’ll look back at these photographs and see how loved they were. They’ll see the people who were there, the family they grew up surrounded by, and the moments that made up their childhood.

That is so much more than just taking a photograph.

It’s preserving a piece of their story.

45 minutes of studio time, perfect if you’re looking for a shorter, more relaxed session and a beautiful selection of images to remember those tiny newborn details.

✨ Full Newborn Shoot
Up to 3 hours of studio time, giving us plenty of time for cuddles, feeding, changing, outfit changes and those beautiful family photographs without feeling rushed.

And the best bit?

You simply book using your due date. 🤍

Once your little one arrives, we adjust your actual shoot date to suit you and baby.

Because newborns don’t exactly stick to our calendars! 😉

Have you ever tried getting ALL the cousins together for a photograph? 😂

Did it go completely to plan… or was it absolute chaos?

Let’s be honest, getting a group of children to all stand still, look at the camera and smile at exactly the same time is basically a miracle. 😂

Someone will be running off.
Someone will refuse to smile.
Someone will pull a face.
Someone will need a snack.

And there will almost certainly be one child who has decided this is the exact moment they no longer want their photograph taken. 🤣

But you know what? It is SO worth it.

Because one day, these cousins will be grown up.

They won’t all live five minutes away.

They won’t see each other every weekend.

Their lives will get busier.

And that photograph of them all together will become something incredibly special.

Not because everyone was perfectly posed.
But because they were all there. 🤍

I love photographing cousins together, the giggles, the chaos, the cuddles, the personalities and all those little moments in between.

How fast or slow did the first year of motherhood go for you? 🤍

Did you feel like you blinked and your tiny baby was suddenly one?

For some of us, those first 12 months feel like the longest, most exhausting year… and somehow also the fastest year of our lives.

The sleepless nights.
The tiny fingers wrapped around yours.
The milky cuddles.
The first smiles.
The first laughs.
The little outfits they seemed to grow out of almost overnight.

And then suddenly… they’re ONE. 🥹

That’s why I love creating photographs that feel timeless.
