I often get asked "where are you from? No where are you REALLY from?"
Truth is I was the only Bengali boy in my school, most of my friends were Pakistani or Indian so I naturally learnt Hindi/ Urdu to the point I can speak that easily but struggle with Bangla- I've only been as a child or to my brothers wedding for short durations in the village, with my mum afraid for me to explore further. I've travelled around the world but always this question bugs me because I can't tell you much first hand experiences.
With the recent Rohingya massacres I was so proud to be after they took in 800,000 & counting saying we are a poor country but if we can feed 160m then another 1m we can handle- that's humanity.
So I decided it was time to answer 'where I'm really from' by experiencing it as a traveller and showing you the best way I can- through my lens. So this is my greatest adventure, my and you're all welcome to join me . 🇧🇩
