I've spent a lot of time recently testing AI, not because I want AI to run my business; I'm really curious about how people will find businesses like mine in the future.
It's been quite the fascinating journey and in short, the quality of the answer often depends on the quality of the question.
If you ask an AI:
"Who's the best photographer near me?"
you'll probably get a list.
Now, if you ask:
"I want a meaningful way to celebrate my baby's first birthday."
or
"My daughter is leaving home and I'd love to do something special before she goes."
The conversation changes and the results are much, much better - you actually start to have a conversation with your AI agent and they do much better work for you with quality results.
So this isn't about about AI, it's about how we adapt and use it as people; most of us don't know exactly what we're looking for. We know how we want to feel and we want the things we're searching for to reflect that.
Whether we're searching for a photographer, a holiday, gift or advice, the answer we're looking for often sits underneath the first superficial question we ask.
Perhaps that's why my Discovery Calls are never really about photographs, they're about understanding what matters most to you and why.
So, here's my question for you...
What's the best answer you've ever received after asking a better question? I'd love o know because now more than ever we need to adapt and change how we find what we really want, not what we think we want. 💛
