I know where I'd rather be on a Monday morning 🙈

This beach was a chance find when looking for a place to watch the sunset on a weekend away in Dorset. Barely any people around so it meant we had most of the beach to ourselves! 😍

The Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre is right on the beach for those who are into fossil hunting 🐚 the centre has displays to help you discover your own fossils and also runs guided fossil walks. Charmouth fossils are world famous, so this is well worth a visit.

You can also hire a beach hut (including the ones featured on Broadchurch!) ⛱

Those green eyes 💚

Back in lockdown, this little kitty used to come and sit in my garden most days.

It was nice to have the frequent visitor who quite enjoyed the shade underneath our sunbathing spot! Perfect poser for a photo too, with a definite hint of sass 💁🏼‍♀️ quite apt for how I'm feeling this Monday morning 🙈

A little bit of paradise 😍

Just a couple of islands up from the go-to destination of Bali, Indonesia, is Labuan Bajo - a little hidden gem on the island of Flores 🏝

From the fishing town you can do incredible diving trips through the Komodo National Park, where I captured this gorgeous blue water picture on my pre-Covid travels 🌊

I'd love to go back again to revisit 'Manta Point', and hopefully have a more successful sighting of the manta rays there 🐠

I'd highly recommend heading there if you are on your travels in Indonesia - it's super easy to catch a quick flight between the islands ✈️

That sunset glow 🌅

If you head to Warsash Shore you will find a beautiful walk along a long gravel pathway that lines the water's edge. It's a perfect spot to watch the sun go down or take the pups if you have one 🐕

There is a little pink ferry that takes you across the waters from Warsash ➡️ Hamble. At the moment it's running on demand but the timetable picks up through the summer months 🌞 it's one of my favourite local spots 😍

Definitely happiest by the sea 🌊

This picturesque boardwalk leading out to sea can be found along the coastal path between Abbotsbury and West Bay, Dorset.

Proof that you don't always need blue skies for a vibrant coastal photo (though I was grateful for the sunshine that came in the afternoon after a very grey morning!) ⛅️

If you're in the area, I'd recommend visiting:
- Abbotsbury Castle 🏰
- Hive beach café at Burton Bradstock beach for a mid walk cuppa ☕️
- Rise Café at West Bay as a nice brunch spot with riverside views 🥯

The charming coastal city of Essaouira isn't the most obvious choice for a summer holiday but it's certainly worth a visit, and it provided a very beautiful backdrop for some gorgeous sunset shots 📸

Essauoria is still a working port, so it's perfect for fish lovers - you can watch the fisherman bringing in their daily produce and purchase your favourites at the local market hall 🐠 The city is so breezy that it's nicknamed the 'Wind City of Africa' but it makes it a perfect spot for windsurfing and kiteboarding 💨 The medina is a UNESCO world heritage site and is home to many art and crafts stalls, run by friendly locals. Well worth a visit!
