I saw a post recently of the lovely James and Hannah welcoming a furry friend into their wee family 🐶 Congrats guys!!

It made me reminisce about their beautiful wedding day last year:

It was a heartfelt ceremony in Hannah’s local church before celebrating at Gracehall. The grounds gave us endless backdrops, from quiet corners to wide open lawns. The perfect match for their effortless, laid-back style! And now, a new chapter begins… this time with little Pippin in the mix 🐾

Zainab & Kevin got married at the beautiful .tower - here’s some kind words from the couple:

We flew in from the US for our wedding and Josh was always available for questions if we had them and was in constant contact the day of the wedding. A quick breather on the balcony before heading back to the madness — just them, a bit of quiet, and a mural that could make anyone stop for a second. Earlier that day? Highland cow guests, Doc Martens under the dress, vibrant flowers, and tiny dog cake toppers. Pretty perfect, really. Thanks for having me guys ❤️

A Hobbit-inspired wedding at the foot of the Scottish Highlands? Yes please.

Triana & John’s day at Comrie Croft was the perfect mix of relaxed and personal.
They filled the barn with greenery, dried flowers, and details they made themselves, turning the space into their own woodland hideaway.

Kilted groomsmen, a bagpiper, a tearful first look with Dad, hilarious speeches (John’s could have been a comedy set), and a ceilidh that had everyone on their feet… it was a day full of laughter, warmth, and all the good stuff.

"The photos were epic. Like something from a film." - L&A

When I read those words my heart did a little leap for joy, it's exactly how I ALWAYS wanted my lovely couples to feel when they received their photos/film.

However, being a wedding photographer, a great passion of mine is also for the unscripted, real emotions. The candids!

I like mentioning to couples that the majority of their gallery will be candid photography! That's the nature of it, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's easy for me to always post the 'Golden Photo' of the perfectly posed couple, but this is more representative of a real wedding day. As I said, real emotions, real joy.

Lindsay and Alex 🤍 I wanted to share some incredibly kind words left by an absolute dream couple - the way they described their experience is exactly how I want all my couples to feel:

"Myself and my now husband booked Folkstorie Photography (the lovely Josh) last year for our December 2023 wedding - we also opted to have an engagement shoot with Josh before the big day to meet up and get comfortable in front of the camera. He suggested stunning location and the photos were epic! Like something from a film.

We knew immediately when we met Josh we had picked the right person to shoot our wedding (a small wedding with only 14 guests!) - he was personable, warm and made us feel so comfortable.

On our wedding day everyone commented on how lovely Josh was. It wasn’t the best day weather wise but Josh’s photos made the absolute best of the weather and our stunning venue location. The colours popped, the photos were absolutely dreamy! We’d highly recommend Josh to anyone, not only for the stunning photos which so beautifully captured our day, but for how lovely Josh is and how passionate he is about getting all little moments documented. Taylore & James, your gallery is ready 😍🤍

Edinburgh is home for me, and Edinburgh is definitely home for these two. This session was an absolute blast to shoot, and such a joy to edit through. This city is so enchanting and atmospheric, you can almost feel the history coming out of the cobblestone streets and stern rock on which the castle rests.

T&J, I hope these photos do justice to the beauty of our city and are exactly what you imagined.
