People ask what “candid” actually means to me.

I think for me it’s not just unposed photos - it’s the whole day built so you don’t feel like you have to perform for a camera. You’re supported but not staged. And what comes out the other side is authentic + joyful 🫶🏻✨

364 days since Britt + Jake came all the way to (a sunny!) Edinburgh from Michigan to get married in Edinburgh. Days like these always feel so special because when we don’t have guests to think about we can really do whatever we want and this day we wandered the city, picked up a couple of witnesses outside of City Chambers and then wandered some more after their ceremony including a little pit stop at Stills.

They were the absolute COOLEST of cats - I am not worthyyyyy! 🙌🏼

Pre-wedding sessions at the beach are always such a firm fave of mine and this one was no exception. The light was BEAUTIFUL and so were K+E. So great to hang out with them ahead of their wedding at The Virgin Hotel later this year - it’s going to be a cracker! 🤩🫶🏻✨

“What’s your photography style?”

It’s the question I get asked a lot and I used to fumble the answer. But now it’s simple.

I’m not here to make your day look like a styled shoot. I’m here to capture it authentically - the joy, the colour, the messy tear-streaked bits and all the beautiful thought and details you wove through your day.

Nearly 200 (!) weddings in, that’s the bit I’ve gotten good at - putting people at ease so they can just be themselves in front of me. Because that’s when the real stuff shows up. The “candid” perfection people long for.
