WOW! Can’t believe this picture is 15 years old.
I can remember the evening I took it, I was in the Pentlands looking for weasels (no joy!) but walking back down you could see the haar rolling in covering the city in a cloak of cloud. By the time I reached the car park the city was covered.

I remembered that somewhere I had a 2x converter kicking about and the moon was shining so it had to be done. I have never really used it and never with the set up I have now. To my surprise everything appeared to work. I tried to hand hold it but I was having a laugh if I thought that was going to happen. So then I dragged out the trip-pod that has not seen the light of day in years (and since it was dark , it still hasn't).
Anyway once I got every thing set up I thought I need a cable release- well after a look and finding 3 none appeared to work with the camera or at all! So clicked up th ISO and used my old wrinkly finger.
So it was my 600mm lens x2 = 1200mm- madness as the camera stopped down to F16!

Earlier this week I popped into Deep Sea World over in North Queensferry. I have not been there for about 20 years, appears a lot smaller than I remember! Not to say I did not have a good time, it was great, a few wee pics from there.
