One of the many vacant and abandoned offices slowly decaying in Newcastle 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 📌

This striking Victorian office building was constructed in 1891 for a major insurance company before later serving a variety of commercial and office uses over the decades. In more recent years, parts of the building were occupied by offices and a restaurant, but it eventually fell vacant and was left largely unused. Despite its current condition, plans have been proposed to transform the historic building into a boutique hotel, offering hope that the landmark may once again have a future. However 2 years later, the building continues to stay empty and slowly suffering from vandal damage and break ins...

Abandoned Hospital Building Scotland 📌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Was cool to see this old style room almost fully untouched, considering the rest of the building was completely crumbling this was quite surprising to find. The whole property has been abandoned for around 10 years now and is one of the only abandoned properties left on the site of this old hospital. The building is listed and therefore can't be demolished, hopefully it won't burn down like the rest...

One of the many abandoned businesses in Glasgow left to decay.

This ones an old buffet that unfortunately had to permanently shut down due to a devastating fire that occurred at a neighboring building. Was like stepping into a time capsule, strange seeing it all left to rot.

Abandoned Mavisbank House 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿📌

Mavisbank House was built in the 1720s as one of Scotland’s earliest Palladian mansions, later becoming a lunatic asylum in the late 1800s before closing in the 1950s. After its closure, the site fell into neglect and was even used as a scrapyard, before a devastating fire in 1973 gutted the interior and left it a roofless ruin. Abandoned ever since, the building has remained one of Scotland’s most endangered historic sites, however recent backing and multi-million pound funding aim to stabilise and restore it, with future plans to bring it back into use as a heritage destination and accommodation.

Abandoned Glasgow District Court 📌🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Glasgow District Court was originally opened in the late 1980s, serving as one of the city’s main venues for summary criminal cases. It remained in use for decades before closing in 2008, when its functions were transferred to the newer Glasgow Sheriff Court as part of a wider modernisation of the justice system. Since then, the building has sat vacant and deteriorating, with various redevelopment proposals put forward over the years, including plans for residential use, though its long-term future has remained uncertain.

Abandoned Apocolyptic Primary school in Scotland 📌

This early 20th-century school building was originally opened in 1902, serving generations of local pupils as part of Glasgow’s rapid expansion in education. It later closed in the late 2000s after structural issues were identified, leading to the relocation of students to a new campus. Left vacant and deteriorating ever since, the building has remained at risk, with plans approved in recent years to partially demolish and redevelop the site into residential apartments while retaining elements of its historic facade. Hope you enjoy the photos 📸
