First time hearing about Lough Derg, and I genuinely couldn't believe a place like this existed. Rising from the middle of the lake, Station Island looks like something out of a fantasy film, especially when viewed from above 🏰

I captured this scene yesterday evening as the setting sun painted the sky and water in incredible shades of gold and orange 🧡

Lough Derg, in County Donegal, is home to St. Patrick's Purgatory, one of Ireland's oldest pilgrimage sites. The island has welcomed pilgrims for centuries and remains one of the most unique and significant spiritual locations in the country. Surrounded entirely by water, its isolated setting makes it unlike anywhere else.

Flying above it at sunset, it was hard not to be amazed by the combination of history, landscape, and atmosphere.
Not a hidden gem to many, but definitely one to me.

The final night of BBC Springwatch is here after three amazing weeks showcasing the incredible wildlife that Crom Estate has to offer.

I've truly enjoyed sharing my photos of Crom over the past three weeks. It's a place that holds some of my dearest memories and where I first learned to take photographs. Thank you so much for all the lovely comments, reactions, shares, and follows throughout the series. 🥰

I love being from Fermanagh. I'm incredibly proud of the beautiful county we have, and I'm excited to continue sharing the wildlife, landscapes, and special places that we have right here on our doorstep. 💚

It felt only right that, on the final night of Springwatch, my final photograph would be my Love on the Lake print. This image was a true standalone special—one I had only a few seconds to capture and one I know I'll never get the chance to photograph again. It really was the definition of being in the right place at the right time.

I'm also beyond proud to have this special photograph featured on the front page of the Impartial Reporter this week. Having worked with the paper for over two years, I know just how significant the front page is, and to see one of my images there, for all the right reasons, is something I'll cherish forever.

A huge thank you to all my colleagues who made this happen—it was the loveliest surprise.

The final episode of BBC Springwatch airs tonight on BBC Two at 8pm. 🌙🦢

Does anyone else have a favourite tree? 🌳

This one is mine, nestled within Crom Estate. After every storm, it’s honestly one of the first things I think about – wondering if “my tree” is still standing. Thankfully, it always is. 💚

Captured here in the evening sunshine, it never fails to stop me in my tracks.

Tonight is the second-last episode of BBC Springwatch on BBC Two at 8pm. I’ll be sad to see it finish, but what a fantastic few weeks it’s been.

Another perspective of one of my favourite landmarks in Crom Estate, taken from the water directly in front of the Boat House.

I was delighted to see the kingfisher featured on BBC Springwatch at the Boat House in last week's episode. Photographing a kingfisher here has been on my bucket list for years! I've only ever seen one before, so seeing it showcased on the programme was a real treat.

Tonight's episode continues on BBC Two at 8pm. 🌿📷

A mama and her babies… how cute is this? 🦢

I captured this lovely family a few years ago down by the visitor centre at Crom Estate. Watching them glide across the water in a neat little line behind mum was such a sweet moment.

With BBC Springwatch returning tonight at 8pm on BBC1, I’m looking forward to catching up with all the wildlife stories and hoping all the babies are safe and accounted for after the weekend break! 🫣🐣

The one and only time I’ve ever photographed a Pine Marten in Crom — taken around 13–15 years ago! 📸

I’d left out some raisins and digestive biscuits (a whole other story in itself 😂) and patiently waited for its arrival. This shot was taken through the window of my car.

Looking back, I can see I may have been a bit overly generous with the biscuits… but honestly, still better than watching it eating baby robins on BBC Springwatch 🫣

Great to see all the recent coverage of Pine Martens in Crom.

BBC2 tonight, 8–9pm — last episode of the second week.

I’ve really loved sharing more of my photos from Crom recently and all the lovely comments has definitely inspired me to get out and capture some new shots too 📸✨

This image was taken last week and it’s one of my favourite views on the estate. Walking from the Boat House towards the Old Castle ruins, with the Gad Island peeping across the water through the trees. It’s a view I never tire of 🌿

Excited to watch BBC Springwatch tonight on BBC2 at 8pm🦉

Im really enjoying sharing my photos of Crom during the filming of BBC Springwatch. 🌿📸

Here’s a recent image of Crom Castle West Wing captured last week during the beautiful spell of weather we’ve been having. The evening light across the estate was simply stunning.

With less than an hour to go until tonight’s episode on BBC2 at 8pm, I was especially happy to spot the kingfisher down at the Boat House - definitely one I’d love to capture on camera sometime soon! 💙

BBC Springwatch is back on our screens tonight 🌿📺 — BBC Two at 8pm!

I’m really looking forward to seeing how things have progressed since Thursday’s episode.

A quick shot from last week’s live recording — brilliant to see it all coming together behind the scenes in such a beautiful setting 🌅
