Happy Thursday everyone!

Just a little reminder that it’s our second night of the season and it’s one that’s perfectly geared towards any novices amongst you.

Not sure how to change your settings for indoor portraits or set up your camera for those dreamy waterscapes? Scared to take that big step from auto to manual? Know that your camera can change lenses but don’t have the first notion of what to look for when buying?
We’re here and ready to help. Between our members, it’s practically guaranteed that someone is able to answer any of your burning questions!

Even if you didn’t make our first night, we’re ready to welcome you along anyway. Don’t be afraid to- we’re a friendly bunch and at least one of our ‘advanced’ members still routinely forgets to take off her lens cap…

What if you’re not a novice? Well you’re still more than welcome to come along to have a chat and set the photography world to rights. It’s not often you can find fellow early morning dew enthusiasts who can talk about the best place to capture a wintery sunrise

So no matter what you’re capturing your moments with, do call down to us in St Macartin's Cathedral Hall at 8pm tonight.
There might even be a few biscuits if you’re lucky…

After our very successful opening night when the attendees got their first glimpse of our new calendar, we think it’s only fair to let the rest of you in on the plans for the year ahead.

As you can see, it’s a pretty diverse and exciting season we have ahead!

There’s still time for you to come along and join in all the fun. All you need is an interest in photography and a desire to share that love with fellow creatives. We meet again next Thursday so feel free to pop along if you’re interested!

Thanks to everyone who turned up to our opening night on Thursday and helped make it so successful! 📸

It’s always nice to get a group of people together and just have a chance to chat and enthuse over all things photography and camera, especially when the tea and coffee is flowing and the scones are out in abundance.

It was wonderful to see so many faces in the room, both new and some a little more familiar. Hopefully we’ll see you all again when we next meet on Thursday 10th September.

There’s exactly one week until our our opening night kicks off our 26/27 season and to say we’re all pretty looking forward to it is would be an understatement!

The committee have put together an exciting calendar of events that includes, but is in no way limited to:

🌲 Club outings
📸 Practical sessions
👀 Inter-club competitions
✍️ Editing workshops
✨ Guest speakers
🏆 Annual exhibition

All while spending two hours a fortnight surrounded by fellow photography enthusiasts who will happily share their experiences and knowledge.

So feel free to come along in Thursday 27 August for a tea and a chat and see just how easily you’ll fit in!

Love photography? We hear you and you're in luck!

At the end of the month, we're throwing the doors wide open and want to invite you to our new season opening night!

Whether you’re just picking up a camera for the first time, enjoy snapping away on your phone or you’ve been taking photos for years, you’re very welcome here!

Our local photography club is a friendly place to meet fellow photography enthuiasts, share ideas, learn new skills, and of course have a lot of fun along the way. From photo walks and practical workshops to friendly challenges and regular Thursday night meetings, there’s something for everyone.

You don’t need expensive equipment or professional experience: just a love of capturing beautiful images! We've members of all ages and abilities so you'll easily fit right in

So come along on Thursday 27th August and see for yourself what we're all about.

📸 UFU Diary Competition – Get Your Entries In!

Calling all photographers! We’re on the lookout for beautiful images that celebrate the very best of Northern Ireland farming. 🌾

Whether it’s livestock, machinery, crops, farmyard companions or breathtaking countryside scenes, we want to see your favourite farming photos. ☀️

🏆 The winning image will feature on the front cover of the 2027 UFU Diary, and the winner will receive a UFU branded jacket and a free 2027 diary.

After you’ve popped into the library to see our exhibition, how about taking a wee drive to Omagh’s Strule Arts Centre to see the overall NIPA annual exhibition with entries from clubs all over Northern Ireland. It’s well worth the trip!

On Saturday, some of our members went along to see the opening of our Annual Exhibition at Enniskillen Library and we gently encouraged some of them to stand beside their winning photographs.
The space we’ve been granted is amazing and really gives each photograph a chance to stand out on its own merit.
The photos are there until 4th July and any time the library is open, it’s there for you to enjoy!
It’s a cracking display and well worth a visit if you’re passing. If you’re feeling moved in any way, we’ve left a folder to the side where you can write down any thoughts or feelings you care to share.
