🌾 Where Light Meets the Land 🌅
Sometimes the best perspective isn't standing above the landscape... it's becoming part of it.
For this image, I lay amongst the wheat as the sun dipped towards the horizon, using the towering ears of wheat to frame a lone weathered tree that has stood watch over these Essex fields for decades. Timing the shot just right allowed the sun to burst through the crop, creating a beautiful sunstar and bathing the whole scene in warm golden light.
This is why I love ultra-wide photography. The Fujifilm X-T5 paired with the incredible Viltrox AF 9mm f/2.8 lets me capture scenes from a perspective that feels immersive—as though you're standing right there in the middle of the field, watching another perfect summer evening come to an end.
It's a reminder that sometimes all it takes is changing your viewpoint to discover a completely different photograph.
