A portal to another world opened above Union Hall, West Cork, Ireland this afternoon.
Never seen this effect before. The low overcast cloud was broken in places and the sun streamed through with shafts of sunlight emanating from the gap. Also the blue sky above was visible through the portal.

GUARDIANS OF YHE BEACON -
The view along the West Cork coastline from The Baltimore Beacon is simply staggering but on this visit the beacon was being guarded by a herd of cows which was just too good a photo opportunity to ignore.

LOVING VIEW….
A seemingly romantic wander to the cliffs for this couple, above Boscastle Harbour, to watch the sun set behind the low lying clouds on the horizon.
I watched them for a while from the other side of the harbour and they were obviously enjoying each others company and rejoicing in this incredible North Cornish landscape.
We might not always have the weather in the UK but boy do we have the locations!

Twilight at Boscastle, nestled on the North Cornish Coast.
It’s amazing what a fresh lick of paint will do, out of season, to rejuvenate the fantastic and historic properties ready for the hoards that will visit later in the year.
In my opinion, this is definitely the best time of the year to visit these beautiful places.

WONDERFUL WINTER…
The harbour at Cockwood on the west bank of the River Exe.
I swear it looks so photogenic whatever the weather conditions, the level of the tide or time of the year. Even with the tide out, the settled mud reflects the blueness of the beautiful winter chilled sky.
I simply adore Devon!
