And now, a round up of 2025’s family photography, and what an incredible year it has been! Photographing family connections makes me so happy, creating images that capture all the love and joy in your lives. I can’t tell you how much I have loved hearing all the feedback from everyone so delighted with their images – thank you so much for all your lovely comments and reviews, it means the world to me!

I have carried out such a lovely mixture of different sessions across this year. From big extended family get togethers, and families on holiday in the South West, to relaxed sessions with families in their own homes and favourite local spots. Most sessions have been in Devon and elsewhere around the South West, but I’ve also travelled for family photography in London, Bristol and the Cotswolds. I’ve had family members of all ages, including great-great-grandparents, adult family groups, a range of teenagers and younger children, and lots of gorgeous newborn babies. All of it has been an absolute joy to photograph!

So thank you, to the 70 or so families that have helped make this such a memorable year. I have loved photographing you all, and I’m so delighted to share a little peek at some of my favourite images.

I only took on seven weddings last year. Want to have a peek at the images?!

The majority of my work is now family photography, so I’m only photographing a very select few weddings. And what a complete joy they were! From the ethereal surroundings of to the always perfect plus beautiful ceremonies by the sea, in the middle of the Cotswolds and right on my doorstep here in Exeter. It’s always such a privilege to share these incredible celebrations, and I am eternally grateful to the wonderful couples who chose me as their photographer. Just an amazing set of weddings. Here are a few favourites, and the full post of over on the blog.

It’s never not an absolute pleasure to photograph a River Cottage wedding, but just look at James and Octavia’s stunning autumn celebration! The most incredible day, and River Cottage was a joy. It’s such a beautiful time of year, and the autumn colours and flowers were all just perfect. I’m just in the final stages of their edit this week, so these are just a few preview images, just a glimpse really. I can’t wait to share the full set of photos with J & O!

November is such an amazing time to have a family session. There is something so wonderful about lovely knitwear in the autumn sunshine, with the incredible colours in the leaves. This year is particularly good for colour, and I’m excited for the shoots that I’ve got coming up this month. There are a couple of slots available, so let me know if you are thinking about getting a session booked in! I’m always flexible with bad weather, so we can reschedule if necessary. And you might just get the most incredible autumn sun, like this gorgeous day last year!

I genuinely do have the best job in the world. On Saturday I spent a few hours with yet another absolutely incredible set of people, celebrating Nicole and Jack’s wedding with them. I think that fate set this one up for me, as I’d originally planned to take the weekend off (Beautiful Days will have to wait until next year..), but ended up being available after all. So when Nicole and Jack got in touch, and were immediately just so obviously lovely, I was delighted with how it had all worked out. Then on Saturday, I was greeted by the vision that was Nicole walking down the road in Lyme Regis in her absolutely incredible dress, with the most beautiful sparkling smile to match. It was such a joy to photograph her and Jack saying their vows in front of their immediate family at the Guildhall in Lyme Regis. Afterwards, we took a stroll along the Cobb together, wiggling our way through endless seagulls and an enormous number of tourists (all stopping to congratulate them on the way). It was wonderful! Then we headed back to the beach hut that they had hired for cake and fizz (DELICIOUS cake, well done Laura!). Their families could not have been more welcoming and delightful, and I had the loveliest time sharing their celebration before I headed off. Just perfect! Here is a tiny preview of the images.

Friday evening was a bit special… Lewis and Alice got married in the utterly magical setting that is St Nectan’s Glen. It was just so special: they shared it with a small group of family and friends. Everyone stood in the glen with the waterfall tumbling behind, while they said their vows and BEAMED at either. It was just wonderful to photograph!

First family holiday at the beach? It’s the perfect opportunity to create some photos together. This was such a gorgeous shoot at sunset in North Devon - it was so special to take some photos of the Harvey family on their first holiday together. We pretty much had the whole beach to ourselves and it was wonderful to stroll along the sand, dip feet in the sea and capture the moment together.

Are you having a holiday in the South West this summer? Fancy some images like this with your own family? I’ve still got a couple of slots left in August and I’d love to hear from you. I cover Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset, so let me know where you’re staying and I can check availability for you.

Happy Friday all! I wanted to share a few images from a wonderful session at home with this family recently. They have particularly beautiful gardens, and we had already more or less completed a really gorgeous shoot, playing in the evening light. Just as I was finishing up, the children were asking to water the plants, and so ensued ten minutes of insanely beautiful chaos. I always particularly enjoy capturing families in their own home, but these are some of my favourite family photos I have taken. It was just such a spontaneous bit of fun, and the utter delight of the children in that light was incredible to photograph 💛

Oh the JOY of photographing newborn babies! Such an incredible time in your lives and it’s always just so special to create photographs that capture this 💛

For this newborn session, it was wonderful to spend a relaxed couple of hours with Mira and family together at home in London. Mira was a complete dream to photograph, and it was so lovely to get to know parents Sonali and Tanush a little while I was there. We had the added benefit of Sonali’s own parents being involved, so Mira got to have some photographs with her grandparents as well.

There are lots of types of newborn photography, and different ways that you can go about this. Some people opt for a studio photography session, or a more posed set up for their baby. I carry out relaxed newborn photography sessions at home, as this enables me to create images in a really natural way. I love to see new families in their home environment, and with familiar surroundings. I’ll give you a little guidance, but I don’t pose your baby. I just photograph them as they are: in your arms, lying on the bed or in their cot. I want the whole experience to be relaxing for you all, and for the images to genuinely capture a sense of this special time in your lives.

This is how to do a village hall wedding in style! I’ve got a new post on my blog with some images from Louise and Matt’s wonderful Devon wedding. They managed to fit a lot into the day, with two ceremonies, a ceilidh, morris dancing and an incredible Middle Eastern feast.

When I first walked into the village hall, I was stopped in my tracks by how incredible it all looked. Matt and Louise organised all the decoration themselves, and they did such an amazing job. They’d started with a completely blank slate, and turned it into the most incredibly beautiful setting for their feast and party. I always talk about how important lighting is when you are thinking about decor, and this is such a good illustration of that. The fabrics, tableware and decorations were all so beautiful, and then the whole room was lifted to another level by the lighting. The illustrations and stationery were all created by Matt and Louise as well, with Matt’s beautiful artwork everywhere. It looked incredible!

I know I use this word a lot, but it really was an utter JOY of a celebration. Such a delight of a day, from start to finish. I hope you enjoy the images! There is a link in my profile if you’d like to see the full blog.
