A small wispy cloud appears to represent the very essence of spring exhaled by a lovely crisp white and yellow trumpet daffodil flower against a vivid blue sky.

Long abandoned gateposts and an overgrown track forlornly lead to poignant building ruins and sweeping vistas of Merrivale and the remote granite uplands of Dartmoor beyond. These ruins were probably once cottages that housed quarry workers or workshops. at the nearby quarries of Foggintor and Swell Tor.
