I arrived around breakfast time on a morning in autumn, everyone gathering in the busy kitchen for pancakes, before we set off to the farmers market. We got coffee, they chose veggies, cheese, chocolate.The big kids came and went, the way big kids do, crossing over at different moments of the day. Some moments were full, others quiet and close, and the day contained the energetic and emotional ebbs and flows of any other Saturday.

This is why I love all day sessions, getting up close to the truth of it, making photos that feel like the days do
