Why Photos Should Not Be Re-Edited After Delivery
When you book me as your photographer, you're not only investing in the images themselves but also in my creative style, editing expertise, and artistic vision. The final photographs you receive have been carefully edited to reflect the quality, consistency, and aesthetic that represent my work and brand.
For this reason, my contract prohibits any additional editing, filtering, colour adjustments, cropping, or alterations to the delivered images. This includes the use of social media filters, editing apps, AI enhancement tools, or any other modifications.
There are several reasons for this:
Artistic Integrity: The editing process is a significant part of my creative work. Any changes made after delivery may alter the look and feel of the images and no longer represent my style or standards.
Quality Control: Re-editing can affect colour accuracy, skin tones, exposure, sharpness, and overall image quality, potentially resulting in photographs that no longer reflect the professional standard I delivered.
Brand Representation: Images shared online are often associated with the photographer who created them. Altered images may be mistaken as my work, which can misrepresent my portfolio and brand.
Contractual Agreement: To protect both my work and my reputation, the photography agreement signed before your session states that delivered images may not be edited, altered, or manipulated without my written permission.
If you would like any adjustments to your images, I am always happy to discuss reasonable requests and make any approved edits myself wherever possible. My goal is to ensure you receive photographs you love while maintaining the quality and artistic standards of my work.
I have seen a few images screenshot, or awful Instagram filters applied on-top of my images recently that makes the images look poor quality and not professional, please do not do this, it’s so disheartening to see my images manipulated like this and trust me, they do not look good like that.
Thank you for understanding and respecting the creative process behind your images. ♥️
