RAF Chinook Role Demo Team landing at the Shuttleworth Military Airshow 2026

The lighting at the time of the display was lovely! And because the air was still quite moist, you can see vapour coming from the rotor blades, something I've never seen before from any helicopter!

Avro Anson at Shuttleworth Military Airshow 2026.

Despite the awful weather, the aircraft including the Avro Anson did well displaying in such horrible conditions.

They say you can make an uninteresting subject more interesting by changing things about it. This can be done in a matter of ways, such as changing the angle, or thinking about the lighting.

I've thought about the composition of this shot with the rocks, and made sure the Gull was looking my way to see its eyes.

I waited for the waves to roll in behind.

I then edited the shot to taste.

Another reenactor who I would like to find out the name of and potentially pass my shots on for him to see!

I had a lot of fun editing the shots of this gentleman, I was trying out all sorts! There were so many different things I could've done to these images, and for this particular shot I landed on this look. What do you think? I like the old vintage look to it!

Bit of Wildlife for a change.

Whilst at Clacton Airshow, I saw this Gull picking up something in the water. After taking the photo and zooming in, I thought it looked like a Jellyfish. I'm still not 100% sure if it is because I've had several answers already telling me what it could've been. It did say on Google that Clacton does get Jellyfish around the warmer months though.

Whatever it is, I was quite happy and fortunate in catching it on camera!

A proper close up shot of the TERSUS system at work on the OSRL Boeing 727, at Shuttleworth Military airshow 2026! The cons of a prime lens are I can't zoom in and out. The pros however are I'm forced to get all of those finer details of whatever goes in front of me and my camera!

You can see all of the individual spray nozzles at work in really high detail! It helps though that it flew so low ✈️💦
