🌊A Sunset Proposal by the Sea at the Headland Hotel 🌞

This beautiful proposal took place at the end of summer, just as the sun dipped towards the horizon and the coastline was bathed in warm, golden light. With the sound of the waves below and a soft sunset glow wrapping around them, it was a relaxed, heartfelt moment that felt effortlessly romantic and completely true to them.

Sometimes the best moments happen when everything doesn’t go exactly to plan 💍🌊

This surprise proposal at St Michael’s Mount was beautifully timed with the tide.... almost! It may have slightly higher high tide than we planned for, but we still made it onto the causeway just as it started to appear before the crowds, to capture some incredible shots with the Mount rising in the background. The soft light, the reflections on the water, and that just-engaged energy made it all feel extra special.

St Michael’s Mount never fails to deliver a bit of Cornish magic, and this proposal was no exception, a moment full of laughter, romance, and unforgettable scenery. ❤📸

This was about the tenth time I’ve filmed at Tintagel, so I know the area well — and it never gets old. With the dramatic backdrop of King Arthur’s Castle ruins and the rugged coastline stretching out into the distance, it’s one of those places that always delivers something special on camera.

For this proposal, we picked the perfect spot overlooking the cliffs, with the castle in full view. It was simple, emotional, and set in one of Cornwall’s most iconic locations. Knowing the area so well meant I could help guide the couple to the best angles without making it feel staged — just real moments in a stunning place.

Kynance Cove is always a breathtaking spot for a proposal, and this one was nothing short of magical. With it being the Easter holidays, we planned the shoot early in the morning to make the most of the peaceful atmosphere before the crowds arrived. The soft morning light, the dramatic cliffs, and the gentle sound of the waves created the perfect setting for an unforgettable moment.

Kynance Cove is always a stunning location for an engagement shoot, and this session was even more special as I’ll be photographing this couple’s wedding at Place House in just a few months.

Having captured countless proposals at Kynance, I know its dramatic cliffs and golden sands make for breathtaking photos, but this time, we were met with something unexpected—a huge cloud of smoke from a controlled gorse fire drifting across the landscape. While it wasn’t what we had planned, it actually added a unique and atmospheric feel to the shoot, creating some truly striking images. It was a great reminder that sometimes the unexpected can make for the most memorable photos!
